If anyone on here is like me and is super picky about their new (or like new) BMW being in new condition, take a closer look at your airbag module (where the horn is), specifically around the BMW roundel. Mine has this slight protrusion of what seems to be a ring that lays around the roundel, but only in the bottom right quadrant of the circle.

I have no clue what it is, or why it happens, but I told my dealer about it. Just got the confirmation today that it is indeed being covered under warranty and a new part is on its way from Germany.

Doesn’t hurt to ask, people!

Had mine replaced as my warranty was ending. Per my SA, BMW NA at first tried to blame me for "honking the horn too hard."

Sounds like something they’d say. My SA had to ask the SM for approval who said he would get back to me within a week. Never heard anything and I think he forgot, so pretty sure they just did it to avoid a headache. But yeah exactly, trying to crank out any repairs I can squeeze in before 4 years is up. Anything else you got done?
