I am wondering if my car has an alarm as standard fitment. It's a '15 328 i. Would they all have an alarm? Or, was it an option?

When I lock it, I look for the flashing light under the mirror, but it does not flash.

Im not a thousand percent sure for 2015 but I have a 2014 and can confirm that not all vehicles came with the Alarm system. I do not have it.

OK, thanks. Does anyone know if was part of a package like Comfort Access, or was it stand alone?

I believe that the 328's had option for alarm; it was stand alone and not included in any packages. However, the 340's came standard with alarm.

My 430 has an alarm. I never checked for the flashing light. I just know if anyone reaches into the car through the window of if I have the top down it goes off. I will have to decode my vin to see option packages. One time I will actually buy a new BMW so i can pick options. Someday.

I have the flashing light on my 340. I'm sure it has an alarm.

My 335i shows the option: "0302 Alarm System"

Isn't another way to tell if you have alarm is if it beeps/honks when locking via the fob ? I know for my 2013 328i it makes no noises when locking via fob (and I don't have alarm)

it's part of a package on my car. easiest way to tell is just unplug the negative terminal on your battery, and the alarm goes off super loud, ask me how I know lol
