Rear passenger air vent

In my car my kids are always complaining that it gets hot in the back with the ac on so yesterday I checked the rear vent and there is hardly any air coming out of it. Tried adjusting it and nothing, put the ac up to max and then I get more air but itís still quite weak.

Is this just the way it is with these cars or is something amiss that I can look at and possibly fix?

Were you checking vents under seats or from center console.

Noticed mine was set to hot today. Took a few minutes for the ducts to cool down after switching to cool. Probably no help, but I was wondering why it seemed warm in the back...

Have you had your center console out or worked on?

It might be worth checking to see if the temperature controller is plugged in. IK6SPEED might be on to something. Maybe there was work done and it wasn't plugged back in. Mine seems to work OK.

That wasn't what I was thinking, but something to check.

The way the venting of air from the front through the center console essentially pushes together and it's very easy to think it's connected when in fact it's not.

I bet it's not unheard that it could develop a leak as well.

What is the airflow like....regardless of temp?

Are you original owner? How long have you had car?

Again, what about airflow regardless of temp?

My rear vents have pretty good airflow, just a bit less than a front side vent.
