Camber plates up front? What tires? Looks meaty for a 245.

Still need to get the alignment dialed in. Put suspension and sway bars on last night. I went bc br coils which come with camber plates, yes. Just have it at zero right now. Some rubbing with just me in the car (small frame 140 pounds) and with others it really isn't too happy. Fronts more than the rear. If camber still upsets it I might have to pull out the roller.

They're Nankang as-25.. $60 a wheel. Got them as cheap off season tires. I'm in the tri state area and I have to say... I had full confidence in my car and felt a great amount of grip in bad weather conditions. Being Rwd that's a huge plus. Before suspension I felt like the turn in had improved drastically having more rubber and surface area in the front being 9.5 vs whatever the OEM 397s were. Haven't had a chance to test grip in a spirited manner on decent roads yet with the suspension. Note, It's set to the stiffest possible.

All in all I wanted a track-esqueue look with aggressive stance. I think with the aggressive wheel setup, a good fender roll and coilovers it is definitely achievable.

I think you need at least -2 deg front negative camber. I had -2.4 on my last E92 and the front end was SOOO responsive. It essentially gets rid of most if not all of the understeer, especially with the 255 on the front like you have.

I would also recommend getting the Michelin 4S tires. Your car with your suspension, camber and coils will be friggin incredible. it SHOULD feel and grip and turn great. I wish I had your setup. let us know how you make out, maybe make your own thread.

Thats about exactly how much I was looking to run. There's a guy with a 328d wagon with similar wheel and tire specs and he was running -2.6 of camber up front. So I'm definitely excited to dial things in. Tires will come when the weather gets better, want to throw these nankangs on my oem wheels and get something nice for the apex shoes.

You sure about the rears bro? My rears are 10j et40 and fit pretty much flush with no spacers, 10.5j et25 will poke out about 20mm more than mine
You're right. It will not fit. Sorry about the miss info. You need around +35 in rear to fit. The front will be fine with 225/35/

Alright, time to fix the rubbing once and for all. My wife and son are riding with me more and more now so I figure I'll bite the bullet.

Turning on flat ground is fine. The only time i rub is with minimal steering input with undulations in the road. It's like the first 10* of input pushes the tire into the front bumper. With more steering input the car raises itself up (thanks to caster) so no rubbing there. For example this weekend I'm driving through an uneven parking lot, and it rubs a. on initial turn in and b. the last moment before the wheel is fully straight. Driving straight and at full lock it was fine. I basically found myself stopping, turning the wheel, then moving again to eliminate the rubbing.

I saw on E90s they shave the material joining the bumper and fender. Does it work the same on our cars? I'm considering trying it but would prefer not to chop into things if it's not the same. I also thing this would help me roll my fenders better since it can't be rolled flat near the bumper tab.

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1118243

I've obviously considered camber, but not willing to deal with the rattling noise that came with camber plates that I've had on previous cars (again just me at the time, now with the family I'd like to avoid it). The camber adjustable bushings seem like a nice option if all you care about is camber angle, but for clearance I really need to bring the top of the tire in instead of pushing the bottom of the tire out. So I don't think it'll fix my fender rubbing issues.

BUT, I read some that adjusting caster can affect camber. So considering the caster bushings if that may work.

Yeah. The rears will air down another 2"ish but the front is about maxed with these tires. When I ordered them, I was thinking the rounded sidewall would be more like the Hankooks. But they are pretty meaty.

It makes for a really good track stance at driving height, so I'm not disspointed.

The front will def go lower if I roll the fenders or get rid of that tab where the bumper meets the fender, but I'm not sure if I want to do all that yet.
