F30 328i tires for aftermarket rims 19' - question about size

Hello,

I plan to buy lovely aftermarket rims that I really like, unfortunately they are only produced as 8.5x19 ET 35. A staggered setup is preferred and the car is lowered on the H&R sport springs.

The manufacturer claims that our factory setup i.e.
VA: 225/40R 19
HA: 255/35R 19

can be put on them, however there is something in the "TUV" certificate that I don't really get:

Quote:
could anyone advise on the best tires size (in terms of grip and lack of rubbing).

Regards
W.

if you really want the 225/255 staggered set on the wheels or because you want to use your current tires, the 225/255 staggered set will fit on the 19x8.5 square wheels you propose without issue.

personally, i'd just put same sized tires on the new wheels, since it will handle better by reducing understeer and you can rotate however you desire for better treadwear. since you're lowered i'd use 245/35/19 or 255/35/19 for summer. 235/40/19 if for a winter tire size.

here is 19x8.5 +35 with 255/35/19 all around on a 335, thx@BIMMERGUY91 for the thread... https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...ht=BIMMERGUY91
