i think adding silver trim to match the rest of OEM silver accent trim isn’t pointless at all. Sticking fake exhaust vents from Autozone on your fenders, is pointless.

It is through a company called faserschmiede. It's a quality piece, and I'd highly recommend it. I'd like the m performance trim to go with it, but I'm not sure if I can handle the Alcantara dashboard.

New year bump. This one's actually pointless. I installed LED reverse lights, in an effort to improve night time reversing. Pointless because it still sucks.

Might convert the turn signals to LED, then maybe the brake lights, then maybe the rear fogs. Meh.

I also installed LED reverse lights in my F30 LCI a while ago. The reverse lights were literally the only exterior lights that were not LED's. The white LED's definitely look more modern when reversing. Probably nobody else would notice, but I like to look at the reflection when I am parking near a big window.
I wish they would also be brighter, but I don't notice a significant difference on the reverse cam.

Maybe the most "useless" is the M-badged 12V dummy plug in the back. But who is to say it is "pointless"

They definitely look more modern. Which is what will probably motivate me to do the rest. Just wish they did a damn. I may wrap the top portion of my bumper in a black wrap. Seems to be worse on white cars.

Have you seen this thread for your backup camera? I have a darker car but it still made a huge difference when reversing at night, super easy to code too

This ended up being an expensive phone charger. No apple mfi chip so idrive won’t usb connect.

I’ll mod it at some stage with an apple certified cable lightning connector off an old charge cable or change it to usb c

I swapped out the bulbs on my E92 for ice white LED lights. It certainly used to wake me up for a morning dark drive! Way too bright. #regrets

This one is 50% pointless, because it wasn't a fail but only I can see it.

Adapted F34 fender sealing trims on my F32, which I'm pretty sure only came on the GT model. Drilled two 15/64 holes and used the same push pins that the trailing edge seal uses. It's ~95% fitment because the fender to frame height is higher on the GT, so it doesn't sit as low as the other. But overall I'm happy because I always thought this area was missing something. The hood closes the same as before.

Next on my list is to swap out the pre-lci cowel access covers for LCI versions, as they cover more area to the side.

Had this in my pre-lci f30 so I got one for my lci f80. Nice part was the holes for mounting were still there.

Red push and m1/2 on both, too.

Have the faux metal trim for the f30 around the light housing.

The rear fog light button and board from UK/EU so that the led works for both f30 and f80.
