No order number as yet. I am told the order is on and locked in (no more changes allowed) so I will try to get the number from the dealership and see where we go from there.

The BMW was a bit of a last minute thought, had a Golf R Estate in my mind for the next car but went looking a couple of weeks ago at Volvo's new XC60, the new Mini Countryman S and then wandered across the car park to see what BMW had to offer.

Bit concerned about the choice after reading some of the comments on here regarding theft through key cloning but you can't let these a-holes rule our lives.

Can't wait now, it's going to be a great car...

Been reading up on this. I think it is a must for me.

People getting in the house is a bigger concern with a wife and 2 kids indoors. A neighbor of mine had a group of guys come through the conservatory for his Seat Leon Cupra K1, a few years ago, armed with baseball bats and crowbars.

I would like to think that most car thieves would not resort to this and would leave with their tales between their legs if they cannot get the car started.

It's a cased of taking whatever precautions you can and enjoying the cars.

Anyway, back to topic. Looks like your will be here soon. Looking forward to seeing some pics and hearing your thoughts.

Most definitely I want to keep them away from the house as much as possible, getting CCTV installed next week and then the Disklok on the steering wheel will help as a visual deterrent.

I’m getting super impatient now, but will be posting lots of pictures hopefully the first lot next week when it arrives at the dealership, then post ceramic detail in three weeks.

Be sure to tell the dealer you don't want them applying their protection. Mine did as a freebie thinking they were doing me a favour but it ruined my plan for ceramic next weekend!

Thankfully the dealership is really good they have said they will just do the delivery check and not clean the car.

Genius is offline...... I'm lost without it!
Like several above my delivery date is W/C 23/10 but the last time I checked I was still 9000 Departed plant whereas everyone else was at sea!
Maybe it's not offline and they've just blocked me for checking every other day!

Unfortunately I can’t use the Genius, as mine is Company Car order through Arval and Synter BMW.

I’ve just been told it’s “in transit”, so hopefully still on track for next week(30th)

Glad you guys are finally getting yours! Unfortunately for me I've yet another delay. I'm starting to think this car will never appear! Think it might be time to start looking at other cars, I'm genuinely wondering if it will ever be built!

The dealship had a more up to date status compared to genius.

I asked my dealship to update me and all fairness they have been amazing, since it went to build I have had weekly emails from them.

Still at 9000 departed plant. Delayed to week 44 now, getting a bit pissed off with this now! Going to end up costing me a fortune hiring a car.

Checked with the dealer and it is at sea so must have been on a different boat to yours. I think I'm right that some come into Immingham and some into Southampton so it might be dependent on where your dealer is.

Anyway, not long now I guess.
