What phone holder for f30
Hi guys, picked up my new 3 series over the weekend.
What phone holders are people using on their f30s? Im not a fan of windscreen mounted ones! Dont mind paying top dollar, but it needs to look and act the part! I used to use brodit clips on my previous cars (audis) |

I am delighted, with it being really sturdy, easy to quickly attach the phone to and comes with a really decent phone case (fairly similar to the genuine apple one I was using before) Great thing is that I can really easily attach to my bike also, so I can use strava.

Brodit are still the best by far, I couldn’t be without mine!

I’m looking for one of these too actually.
Tried the CD slot mounted one, didn’t stay in the slot. Currently using the air vent magnetic one, but I want something more sturdy as I have an iPhone 8 Plus currently so a bit heavy. Wondering about dash mounted/windscreen mounted ones. Preferably with a grip on the side and support underneath. |

The Belkin Cup Mount is great. I’ve always used Brodit before, but the Belkin is ideal with the position of the cup holders in the F30. Plus it’s right next to a power socket.

The CD mount was a good place for it but it didn't work .. too much flopping, no good retention. The brodit dash mount is the way to go. I like it in landscape mode but it rotates around if portrait is your thing. I can't get a pic of it..

Yes that, though I didn't get the one with the charging embedded as it's less rotateable. I have mine a little closer to center and rotated down 90. It covers the center controls, but no big deal .. I know what's there.
I also ran the cable through the vent down to a low profile charger and right angle usb cable to the hidden socket under the glove box. Can't tell anything is there. |

I hate gash wires and random shit nailed to the dash or windscreen.
I have a very good vent mounted magnetic holder with a sturdy ball swivel on it. The clamp is strong and never pulls away from the vent. The magnet is strong enough to hold the phone securely but pulls off nice and easily when removing. I've routed the lead inside the base of the storage door and run it inside the trim panel below the steering wheel then routed it to the passenger under glove box DC supply socket. I've attached a tiny bit of velcro to the USB C connector and a small patch on the storage door when not in use. I've also got a magnet adapter on the charging lead and on my phone so attaching the phone to the mount and throwing the charging lead on the phone is a one handed job. Works a treat and having it on the right hand side means its not obscuring the iDrive screen or the centre vents. The right hand side vent still gives a good amount of airflow with the phone fitted too. Universal MagGrip Air Vent Magnetic Car Mount Holder USB C to USB C Magnetic Adapter |

I just set it on that little tray that goes over the cup holders. Then it's landscape mode for Waze cop watch. If I have a beverage then it goes vertical in a cup holder.

It doesn’t block any of the screen from the drivers seat, and only blocks one of the passenger vents so no problem really.

I've just fitted one of these magnetic ones. Fitted the magnet to the inside of the case so that I can still use wireless charging by removing the phone from the case.
I do like the Brodit ones too, and have that fitted for the Boxster with full charging, as it's my main navigation device, but this is more subtle looking and fine for the occasional Waze usage. It's a Scosche Magic Mount. If it needs charged when mounted then I have thin black cable that comes out through the glovebox when needed. I have a magnetic one that goes on vents too, but I don't like it that much, so just stays in 330e for when it's occasionally needed.
