If you can cope with Apple Store credit you might get quite a bit trading it in.

I'm in the process of trading in a 2012 MacBook Pro and I'm getting far more as a trade in than I could realistically get elsewhere. Far less hassle too.

I dont need another Mac, I already have too many, this is spare but yes I agree I would definitely be upgrading this way too
