Discount tire is trash - I don't know how so many people like them here. In TX I'm like 7 for 7 w them fucking my shit up. Whether it be mounting the spare loosely and upside down on my truck, leaving thick coats of white shit and grease all over my nice ass rims every time, SCRATCHING my niceass rims every time.

Today was a doozy, high school piece of shit donkey kicking my WHEEL, right on the face, blindly w his back turned over and over again to get the stuck wheel off. What do you know, scratch and scuff marks out the ass. Other wheel came out w a 1.5 inch gash in the chrome from the tire tool. And the techs setting washers, metal parts w rough bottoms and other metal shit on my bmw hood like it's a fucking table.

I'm sick of these douchebags. I've tried every location around me and they're all inept w nice vehicles. What are my alternatives in Houston? Mobile services any good? I will miss the discount warranty but perhaps other services also offer them?

Also, motherfuck discount tire.

With a BMW, stay away from discount places. Last discount place I went to had ASE mechanics who owned BMWS and I still got my rims marked up. Discount places hire young people to do the menial work.

Depends on the people they hire. The discount tire by my house is fine. They’re actually careful. The one near my job is just like yours.

Doesn’t matter what place it is, I always stop by and watch before I decide to take my business there.

Our discounts are fine. Also, if you keep having bad experiences, why do you keep going?

America's Tire? Is this available on Texas or are they the same company as Discount tire they just can't use the name in California. But anyway don't have any problems with them America's Tire.

Lol, great question. There's 4-5 around me and this one seemed okay the last time after the other locations did similar things. Today was just the breaking point. Going to get tires put on shouldn't ruin my day.

The other replier nailed it - it's just a problem w young people in general. I was a total POS back in the day and these kids likely aren't much better. It's not even their fault. It's mine for taking it there yet again. Never again - especially not w run flats or low profiles - they seem to have a hell of a time jamming those on with metal tools and a tire machine.

Show up with a clean car and make your presence known; stay and helicopter-parent. They set appointments here.

Unacceptable behavior for sure. I've been lucky with discount.

How about a reputable family place?

Our local chains are hit-and-miss as well, but we've got a local family owned tire shop that's been in buisness for 70 years. Great people and they do good work for a competitive price. The shop isn't spectacular, but they make up for it in quality of work.

I've been lucky with Discount Tires for tires and wheels purchase. Watch the type of vehicles people are driving in for service. If most of the vehicles you see are "hoopties" go elsewhere. Discount Tires stores are not all the same.

find a shop that sells nice wheels. in Atlanta, discount tire screwed me over so I found Butler Tire and Wheels which was a dealer for BBS, Vossen, etc. and they took WAYYY better care of my wheels. slightly more expensive, but worth it for better service
