2TB SAT vs 205 8AT

I drive a late 2013 AH3 since 2 weeks. I'm very confused about my transmission.
-I have the 2TB on the VIN options list, including sport, Sport +, SAT lever, and paddles.
-I don't have LC (tried 3 times in perfect condition)
-I don't have the S1/2/3... gears when I pull the lever to the left, only shows 'DS', just as the 205 8AT transmission

Any of you guys ever seen this?
And how would it be possible having 205 8AT software on a car with 2TB.
I really don' get it. Went to the dealer yesterday and they didn't know the difference between both....

Run your VIN, it should tell you all about your car.

Please read my post again.

According to the VIN i have the 2TB SAT....but in reality I have the 205 8AT software with the paddles and lever from the 2TB.
And of course no LC.

VIN shouldn't lie

If the VIN says you have a certain hardware then thats what you should have unless there was some massive error while making your car.

Well as you know: 2TB SAT = S Gears (Which I don't have...only 'DS') and Launch control (Which I also don't have).
I do have Sport+ however, which would only be available on the SAT?!
Looks like I have a mix of the 8AT / SAT so i'm very confused.

I'm taking it to the dealer next week anyway, maybe they can do some kind of software update.

I have sport trans in my 2013. No LC from factory activated so I coded it and I NEVER USE it.

Go code it. It'll be there after.

Brought it to the local coder today. He told me it was impossible to code the gearbox. It wasn't showing any lines to code. He'd never seen such thing...
So I'll have to go to dealer after all.

Coding launch control is coding the computer to allow it. Your tech is wrong to think its "coding the transmission"

I don't know how this works, but he has coded plenty of thinks including SAT. According the computer the car has the 2B SAT but it wasn't showing any options like LC ...

That's possible. But the manual tells me I have LC..so I don't get it. I've also seen other AH3 videos on youtube, and the display shows S1/S2/S3 instead of 'DS'.
Bringing it to the dealer tomorrow.

I'm now uploading a video of the acceleration in DS. I hope someone here can tell me if it's 205 or 2TB shifting.

According to the dealer nothing is wrong with it..while I have 2TB. This is becoming a little frustrating.

I know this is an old post.. But same! So confusing. I've got the 205 shifter, but I have sport+ (activated via coding) & now my "DS" changed to "S1, S2, S3" etc. I've got paddles, but coder also said there's no option to add in LC!

My 2012 build M135i also does not have LC. This came on the later cars. I believe that xHP will make this available for us.

LC can be coded on older cars but requires flashing a newer istep version/software to the car and then coding it, that's was the case with my car

Updating the istep should help because I was able to code it on my 2013 f30 without SAT
