That's what I'm thinking. If you're willing to play with the plastic composition I would be happy to wait and see what you come up with. An idea I had was to potentially slightly sand down the exposed edge as well, which would dull the light a bit but would probably be more evenly distributed.

I did this mod on my car. Looks great with the LCI LED Radio surround. Videos for both can be found on my channel.

Shoot me a PM and I will send you the link where to buy it. Yes, that's the actual brightness, very bright. Of course you can turn the brightness down on the idrive. I keep it @ 3/4. I'm very OCD with quality and these are exact fit like OEM in gloss black. Here's some more pictures.

I didn't think that anyone was using glue... just slipping them in.

A friend at work has an F32 420d Sport and wants to change his ambient footwell lighting to red/orange (to match the dash lighting) and also have the lighting on all the time. At present he says he has white lighting which turns itself off when he closes the door. What is involved in replacing the footwell lighting and could it be coded using something like bimmercode? Thanks.

It depends. Check the connector. If it has al 4 pins wired its probably plug and play. If not then you need to wire ambient colors from fem |
