HP Estimation with Intake & JB+

I clocked my 0-60mph at 5.03 seconds with the P3 ODBII vent gauge. Injen claims an increase of ~22hp, and JB+ (at max setting) of ~25hp.

So, using a 0-60 calculator (not 100% accurate, I know) I came to this:

357.7 x 16% Drivetrain Loss = 57.232
357.7 - 57.232 = 300.468 whp

Seem like an overestimation?

Was this using launch control? Cant argue with the ~5 second 0-60, pretty good!

The 0-60 seems right, but the intake adds ~0hp, so using stock dyno data from Dinan, the stock whp is around 230, add about 25 for JB+ which is about right, and I'd estimate your whp to be around 255-260, so maybe 290-300 at the crank.

Probably right. I thought I read the intake would add a little bit in the low range.

I've read the same but chose not to believe that a tube and filter intake will add power over the proven-to-be-not-restrictive stock air box. There are claims that it adds anywhere from 5-20hp, but from the reading and data I've seen, I (and many others) have come to the conclusion that it adds close to no hp. The benefit of the intake is really just for sound, and it does a pretty good job at that .

Agreed on the sound part. It's worth it just for that!

Not a huge noticeable difference. Looks good under the hood though.

Staggered: 245/35 and 265/30 Achilles ATR Sport. Cheap tires = 0 grip in the rain. I need to upgrade soon.

That won't add much power though.

OP if you want any noticeable increase in power over where you are now, you need a catless downpipe, and if you want to do it right, a flash tune and intercooler.

Jb4 + Intercooler will definitely add power over Jb+ with stock FMIC

That's why I said much power

How much of a benefit is there really going from JB+ to JB4? Running the same amount of boost or close to it... Not much else the JB4 can do to add power. I'd suspect the difference is minimal. I'm sure it's there, but minimal. And then, not that this is something you don't know but for the sake of the thread, the FMIC is better for consistent power rather then straight up adding power.

Like I said, I'd recommend BM3, catless DP and FMIC.

Catless DP if legal should be added.

Jb4 has very important features which are not available on the JB+

For example the boost by gear (most important one in my opinion) and boost by RPM
