Mixing tires with different speed index on xdrive

Hi floks,

Is it ok to mix speed ratings on xdrive (f36 428)?
In my country i cannot find summer tires that i want with same speed index, the tires i've found are 225/40 19 W93, and 255/35 19 Y96.
I've read many article about this, and it's still not clear to me, i always had tires with the same speed index.

Does anyone have experience with this, or should i try to find tires with same speed index front/back?

Thanks

W index is 270 kph
Y index is 300 kph

Except if you are planning on going above 270kph, I think you are safe.
Stick to the same tire brand and model for front and back and you will be fine.
