I think I see them in a couple of the picts.

I've never seen this color in person.
I loved space gray on my 135i. If you've seen that color how does mineral gray compare?
No, it does not. Must be anomaly of the pictures. The mineral gray looks like it has in the last three years.

Ha! I've cruised at 100 mph in it, and it didn't feel like it would be stable any faster. The engine may have been able to do a little more, but it felt like I was going to lose control any second!

4 NA cylinders of pure Honda mediocrity!

Man did those sales people try and get me to put the nav in it! I knew I was going to mount my phone for media use, so I couldn't get myself to spend the $2k on integrated nav if I'd already have a nice big nav screen up there.

I'm loving my German experience! Beautiful country. Clean. Nice people.

I do miss the states, though. I'll be happy to go home when the time comes, but for now I'm loving the travel and the experience.

So far been to:
Belgium
Paris
London
Luxembourg
Croatia
Netherlands

Thanks for your feedback and I'm glad you like it. But it sounds like you're describing off-center slop, and it's not a good thing. Good steering should feel natural and intuitive, and shouldn't require learning. Sigh...

This one I really feel the resistance of the tires when I turn at slow speeds. I feel much more connected with the road. It's great.

I think you are right about the servotronic, particularly the free-play of the wheel when at speed. That described what I am feeling very well. So it may not be the VSS after all that was causing the odd feeling. As of now, though, I love the whole combined feel of the suspension and steering. As I get used to the steering, I like it more. Like getting used to a new car with a difference clutch catch point.
That's good to hear.

F30 steering in general is somewhat vague and on center/off center has too much play, but over all the standard steering and VSS are acceptable.
That one review really has me wondering what is going on as that guys comments made it sound like it was just broken.

No blue in the mineral then. Must just be a light anomaly.
Min gray is one of the colors I am considering.
I have to finalize my choices very soon.

I can live without stellar feedback--that ship seems to have sailed long ago in the automotive world, it seems (other than, perhaps, Porsche), but the reviews almost make it sound like the atrociously spooky steering of the Infiniti Q50. I'm wondering if this will be bad enough for BMW to issue some TSB to address (if possible).

my steering in my e90 has been superb for the last 8 years. in the f30 loaners I have had - not so much. Was hoping the LCI fixed!

Ha I could imagine. Totally understandable. Was the buying experience there different than here in the States?

Yes, very different. They didn't try to sell me on any coverage plans or accessories. They simply handed me the keys, put on my plates for me, asked if I had any questions, and sent me on my way!

I didn't have any questions because I had been obsessing over the user manual for a couple months and knew every setting and line of the car before I got there.
