BMW uses flex ray to communicate between some of the modules. BMW seems to go back and fourth between the flexray and Ethernet bus.

You can figure out a bit more with ISTA/D but normally its some random CRC fail OR you have a module starting to fail. There are times a software update is required if its happening often. Best is to clear it and see if it comes back.

Being a 2015 I'm assuming you might have a warranty?

Nope. I cleared the code. It never returned.
