Anyone on the "new" MP Stage 2? Anyone also have the TCU tune in tandem?

1000' stock:
11.00@96.65 (38 deg, 2 gal of gas, +0.45% slope, 2.05 60')
1000' with MP flash:
10.66@101.35 (55 deg, 5-6 gal of gas, +0.10% slope, 2.01 60', I actually let off @100 this run)

Also, after the flash, I ran:
0-60 4.29s
1/8th mi 8.12s

Sorry for not being apples to apples, but I thought someone might find it useful. I have screen shots of Dragy. With M-Boot, it appears you can easily reflash back to stock. The stock 1000' run also produced a 4.78s 0-60 and 8.47 1/8th, however, the stock 1000' run started at higher slope and the flashed run finished at a higher slope, so I didn't want to compare those.
Good review, it appears even with a higher DA then the stock run the results are very promising!

I would expect a 12.3-12.4 on 93 for your car and high 11’s with E30

Couple questions I would like answered

I only have access to 91 octane.
I have intake and catless downpipe. What gains am i looking at?

With stage 2, do I now need transmission flash to take advance of it?

Will this tune surpress the CEL for me and the catless downpipe ?

With only access to 91 am I just better off with a jb4?

Here are my gains so far with Mission Stage 2. I got a catted DP. I am on 93. The consistently of the tune is just hard to beat in comparison with the JB4. I have zero throttle closures.

I wouldn't worry about the dyno. He's seeing roughly 70hp/80lb-ft gains. That's all we need to know lol.

Ah. I'm mistaken and didn't read the dyno close enough. Those are 2 different cars. Apologies.

Took me a second. lol
I guess what's a little odd is the difference in torque and hp. A majority of the of the charts I've seen, wtq and whp have been pretty similar with one another.

OP, do you have deltas from before and after by chance?

PS that RS3 is making some gooooood power on a just a stage 1 APR tune. Wowzers.

Oh, yeah. Lol That was the car previously ran on the dyno.

I never did a before run.

Here's the MP (Stage 2) delta.

I may go re-run to see what this "new" Stage 2 can do. I'm curious is my WHP has improved.

Yep... a big part of why S3 was in my shopping list with the 340. S3 would be noticeably faster in a straight line. ~400 HP, and less weight, on stage 2 from APR, a company with local resellers I trust, and who respond to emails in a timely manner.

Are you talking about an RS3? And yes, APR is who I'd trust if I had an Audi.

This.

N55's tend to have much higher torque with lower horsepower numbers. The B58 tends to have peak numbers that are close.

Is it common to see tuned B58s peaking HP at 5K? I could see falling off at 6K maybe? I feel like there's more safe HP to be had here.

No, I was looking at and quoting numbers from an S3 there. Those engines respond amazingly to software.. suggesting VW/Audi is super conservative with their stock tunes.

There's plenty of reasons I didn't get one of those... but I doubt I'd be unhappy if I had.

Now, I'm eagerly watching the flash tuning developments for B58 - I am not a fan of piggybacks at all, so I'm really glad we're getting some options, and I'm really glad Mission shared the technical info they have so far.

Give us a call when you have a minute. I have a new revision of stage 2 specifically for the M40i vehicles that we can flash over to you with Trans flash. Would love to see a dyno of it after the flash as comparison.
