Hardly. It fits right in with the others, between MB C series and the Audi 4 series:

Will I regret going to the new 3? Anyone else done it?

Thanks for your input.
Went from e60 m5 to f30 335i. Only thing I miss is the power. Tune will help. Very pleased so far.

I feel like in terms of size the F30 is pretty close to the E60. A little smaller, lower seating position, etc but for me those were a bonus.

Good for a 65 year old man looking to upgrade from his Buick or Caddy DTS.

I ultimately went with the AH3 M-sport, with the Dynamic Handling Package. I think it's the perfect combo of comfort as well as sportiness.
Wow that's going to be quiet a relief on your wallet at the pump, going from M3 to AH. Have you driven one? It says in your signature PCD on Jan, 18 2013.

Yes, I drove the AH3 in November (after driving several 335i's), and promptly placed one for order. The M3 only averaged 14mpg in the year I had it, I'm expecting 30+mpg from the AH.

I still like the F10 from a looks/design standpoint. Maybe for the LCI they'll sharpen up the looks just a bit as well as the handling/performance, and I'll consider it once again.

I really really wanted to get an F10 535i. Loved the exterior looks, interior setup and comfort seats were to die for. I test drove the car about 6 times, but I just kept on being disappointed every time.

When I test drove the F30 with adaptive suspension I got really interested. What put me over the top was seeing an EbII at a dealer in person, almost shed a tear at the beauty.
