Tinted windows on leased BMW?

I want to tint the windows on my new leased BMW. Dealer wanted to do it for $500 but I refused, so now if I get a third party to tint it, would the tint needs to be removed at the end of lease?

EDIT: Rephrasing the question: would they charge me for not removing it?

For BMW because of all the high tech

Make sure u get carbon tint!!!!

It's more expensive , but won't interfere with your electronics

H89,

No they will not charge you to remove or "leave" the tint. Just remember, it's illegal to tint your driver and passenger front windows...and of course, never tint your front window.

I know, many people tint the driver and passenger windows, but most drive like a decent human being and thus, never get bothered by the local police. You can do it, but if you get pulled over for speeding, the police may write an additional ticket for your front tinted windows.

Second, I've tinted every one of my leased cars, Chevy, Porsche, BMW, Infiniti, etc. and no one charged me for anything.

Any decent shop these days do a pretty good job tinting windows, if you're not satisfied let them know. Second, if you tint the back window and the two rear seat windows expect to pay less than $200. 3M tint is supposed to be pretty good.

Thanks, I remember tinting is fine as long as you allow 70% of light passing thru front windows? I got some quotes but still hesitate about spending $300+ for tint on a leased car

Can't tell if you're trolling or not. Has this been an issue? I just got basic tint for my F30. Paid a shop in Rowland Heights $130 for all windows except windshield. Never had a problem with it so far...
