No, but I haven't submitted a support ticket on this latest map yet. I want to try the 91 map first, also my car is also scheduled in for fuel pump replacement next week.

If neither of those things work I'm going to check/re-gap plugs and then I'm all out of ideas!

Don't worry too much about it, boost control on PWG is difficult, they'll revise the map and help you out, right now their support is packed, and they are 2 guys doing revisions so don't worry, normally they'll get back to you within 48 hours max.

The boost spikes isn't too dangerous so I wouldn't worry, I had it all the time on PWG V2-V3, it normally does that after you shift.

Thanks dude. Yea I'm not super worried about it, looks like I've got a lot of smaller issues that I'm just trying to clean up one at a time.

Just logged some new pulls on the 91 tune. I got my new 93 map from Dzenan so I'll be trying that out next once my LPFP is replaced.

http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5abc3433d10b4374deee200d

http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5abc3448d10b4374deee2011

http://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5abc344ad10b4374deee2012

Car feels a little smoother on the 91, as in no hiccups when accelerating in 4th or 5th from 2500 rpm. Still got some negative timing and a few knocks here and there.

Mostly continuing to post so I can come back to these logs later and compare easily

My car seems to run way less boost than yours and I am on 93? I guessing this has to do with timing. I can't understand why on this platform they don't target boost and the car makes whatbit makes at said boost.

So while I run much less boost but my timing is way higher I wonder who makes more power.

Yes it is being replaced under recall. I read a couple of threads about the recall so decided to call the dealer - may as well.

The funny thing was when I called the service dept, I just said I had a 2013 335i, and the nice young lady said yes you need the recall, when do you want to book it in?

Didn't ask for VIN, didn't check if it was done earlier. It was kind of strange I thought, but I'll take it!

Stage 2? PWG?

I found this article on timing/knock informative: http://stratifiedauto.com/blog/under...oboost-engine/

If you have boost with low timing you will have inconsistent power and you will heat up fairly quickly, you're basically running extra boost for minimal gains. And if you have negative timing, it will actually make the car runs worst than stock.

If you have high timing but low boost, its the same as the above only, you can add more boost to even it out.

You want to look for 14-15 psi on 91 octane with 5+ deg timing.

And 16psi on 93 octane with 5+ deg timing.

Everyone thinks the more boost you run the better, but thats is not the case, you need a good balance between boost and timing. (I would say 30% boost 70% timing in terms of importance)

Here's an example with my log on PWG HSTG2 91OCT map v3

your car is running far different than mine. Far higher boost. I am ewg. But yes you are making 5psi more.

Nice. It must be an EWG thing, but every EWG log I've seen the timing is bang on and consistently higher across the board. My timing on different cylinders is all over the place and as soon as I hit 10 degrees it knocks.

Are you running stock plugs or the NGKs recommended by PTF?
