Multiple items for sale from my 435ix convertible (F33)

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 1.00

Item Interest
Hello-- I sold my 2015 (F33) 435ix convertible, and I have several items for sale from that vehicle. I'm hoping that the picture uploads worked correctly, but if you send a PM, I can send pictures through text or email in the meantime:

(Prices below don't include shipping, but we can figure that out separately).

-- Black OEM mirror covers. The car was Black Sapphire, but I took off the OEM covers to put on carbon fiber covers. I'm selling the black OEMs. $50 for the pair (part numbers appear to be 7299808 and 7299807).

-- Black leather OEM center console cover. I had replaced this with a stitched alcantara cover, so I'm selling the original one. $50

-- OEM gloss black kidney grill (L&R). I have the "M-color" snap on inserts, but they're completely optional if you want to leave the grill totally black. $70

-- OEM Emergency brake handle & leather boot. Part #7846807. $50

-- Staggered 19" wheels/tires: Very lightly used Michelin PS4S on WSP Italy Daytona W679 wheels. Listed in a separate thread in the wheel/tire classified forum. $1600

-- BMW Battery Charger. This is $150 new; I'm asking $70. I bought it about 3-4 years ago, so I don't know if it's any different from the currently available model, but it worked well for my needs. Comes with original box.

-- Carly Generation 2. $20 This is just the unit...I think you have to pay for the app separately (I haven't used this in a couple years, so I don't know if there's a newer/better version).

-- BMS JB STAGE 1 tuner. This is the easy plug&play model. It takes a few minutes to install with minimal effort. Adds some nice boost, but I never dyno'd it to know for sure. I definitely felt a drop in power after I took it out, however. Sells for $400 new. I'm asking $200. Excellent condition

-- "Notch" style spoiler fit for the convertible trunk. Gloss black. You'll need to source the 3M tape yourself, but it stays on really well with that tape. I had it stuck on my car for a couple years, so it has the normal wear, but is generally in very good shape. All of the tape and residue has already been removed, so it's ready for you to apply. This won't fit any trunk other than the convertible. $75 (shipping is going to be a little tricky with this because of its length).

Underside:

Top:

-- Black leather key cover with blue accents; no fob included (the key rotates out of the cover). $35

Bonus: If anyone spends more than $100, I'll throw in a new MicronAir cabin air filter (I never got around to putting it in. It's the same one available on the ECS Tuning site).

Hopefully the image hosting works.

Thanks,
Jeff

With the stage 2 tuner...if there are no other mods to the car, is there benefit? How do you install and would it void extended warranty? Just picked up a '16 435i xdrive convertible (but has luxury pack)

I’m not enough of an expert to be able to explain this in any technical manner. I will say that I definitely felt a performance boost from the tuner, but it wasn’t crazy—just enough to noticeably distinguish it from stock. It’s a “seat of the pants” difference. When I took it out so that I could sell it to my local dealer, the drive to the dealership was definitely less peppy than what I had been accustomed to feeling from the car. The reason I went with this (Stage 1) tuner instead of the JB4 is because of the ease of installation, and also because I wasn’t looking to push the car to the extremes. I just wanted more power than the car would normally have, and that’s what it delivers.

As far as voiding a warranty—the module is removable in under 5 minutes (and installation only takes slightly longer than that because you need to do a little zip-tying when you put it in). You can remove it completely and leave no evidence that it was ever in there (assuming you need to take the car for service). There’s no software coding or anything else that would alert a mechanic to it being there. If you leave it in and it’s discovered, then you’d probably have to battle it out with the warranty provider, but I don’t know if it’s presence would automatically void a warranty.
