I believe the engine just didn't have enough oil pressure to circulate the oil around especially with your bigger oil cooler. And with the braking and G's, it was only a matter of time, the M cars (even the M2 N55) have dual oil pickup and oil pumps for that reason.

I'm currently at 175k miles and my last track session was pretty good, I'm planning to pull bearings at 200k miles to inspect them and replace with coated ones.

Mind you I'm sitting at 420AWHP/438AWTQ.

I’ve got the same oil cooler and also have king rod bearings. There is not a significant reduction in oil pressure due to the larger cooler alone and a small (1-2psi) drop in oil pressure at idle due to the bearings.

Also "lucky" it seized up as steering was almost completely unwound as opposed to in the process of turning into the apex.
