Spline Drive Lug Bolts

Anyone have experience with spline drive lug bolts like these?:

Whoever took one of my wheels off last time cranked the lug bolts on so hard that the tire shop mangled a few of the bolts taking them off. So I was looking at some nicer replacements. I like the style of these spline bolts, but am slightly concerned that if something like this happens again and they need to use a ton of force, that the bolt head would round off.

I’ve used that style myself on a previous car for several years. No issues at all.

I use the Vorsteiner BMW Splined Lug Bolts on my 435 - pics from ECS you show are similar but without the V logo

Never had a problem with rounding. The special splined socket included has very positive retention/fit

The splined head construction is smaller than OEM hex lugs so easier to deal with tight wheel lug entry points as well acting as a theft deterrent.

Also good to only take your car to a shop that does NOT use an impact gun to put on lugs, but uses a torque wrench as the proper method
