I think you need a certain ego to drive the Lambo whereas the X5, we might recognise it as a M50d but to 99% of the population it's just an X5.
As to which I'd have I'm actually torn. If they were going free with a prepaid credit card for a year of fuel I'd have to take the Lambo. |

If I needed an SUV then I'd take the Lambo... then sell it, buy a cheaper SUV and spend the rest on holidays!

I wouldn't take those looks lying down.
I love the look of UrAnus. However the interior is right up there with best interior ever. The massive controls are like a fighter jet.

I like the Lamborghini, seen a few around. I like it in a slightly indifferent way though, as it's pretty much irrelevant to my life whether I like it or don't.
Had an M50d courtesy car, didn't like it. OTT fake noise, steering feel is really artificial and weird, and even in Sport mode it doesn't seem very responsive. I wanted to like it, thought it would be like the M40d but more and better. It isn't. Read some reviews after to see if it was just me, it isn't. Most journalists like the idea and love the SQ7 for example, but just can't gel with the M50d. By all accounts the standard X5 3.0d is better without all the extra engineering. |
