This is a question. If you hit a big pot hole what happens to the tire, wheel and car being so low ? It seems that it will just stop the car with no space. Am I missing something ?

Potholes aren't typically big enough to affect anyone that's low in the thread. I'm tucking my tire and still ave several inches of ground clearance to my bumper/side skirts, which is lower than my actual body and subframe. Plus when you're driving at speed , you'll never have the wheel drop low enough to catch. The thud you feel is hitting the edge of the pothole, not the bottom.

That being said, high siding on a crest is possible and scraping happens. My jack pucks are chewed up along with the air dams under my bumper. But so what

Been stalking this thread for over 6 months looking over fitments, tire sizes, coilovers etc. and finally decided to put everything together... Wanted to say thanks to everyone in here for the amazing info, welcome to my newly lowered 4 series! Went with ST coilovers and OEM 437M's with M2 fitment for tires (245/265). Better pictures to come, cheers!

Surprised you ran it with spacers! With 245/265 I was actually really scared it would rub, luckily it didn't! Looks clean

A few questions if you don't mind

1) Will there be rubbing on 19 inch rims?
2) How bad is ride quality on 19s + Super sports?
3) Will it cause damage to the other suspension parts?
4) What's the install cost like on average for springs?
5) I'm going to put a front splitter on, will clearance be a huge issue?

TY!
I have 19's and Super Sports

1. Only if you go over 35/245 for tire...then maybe
2. Not bad at all.
3. How are the roads where you live
4. Should cost anywhere from 750 - 1k
5. You'll be about 3-4 inches from the ground if you do

Looking for some advice....

Car is a 2015 430D Coupe.

Front:

Current Setup is: 8J x 19” Offset 36
Tires: 225/40/19

New Setup is : 8.5J X 20" Offset of 25 (Japan Racing JR23 in Hyper Silver)
Tires are 245/35/20"

Rear:

Current Setup is: 8.5J x 19” Offset 47
Tires: 255/35/19

New Setup is : 10.J X 20" Offset of 38 (Japan Racing JR23 in Hyper Silver)
Tires are 275/35/20"

Is all the above correct? Willtheyfit.com says a 28.1mm outward poke, sounds a lot for the rear??

Thanks in advance....didn't realise this Offset stuff would be so hard. Don't want any rubbing as it's a daily.

Since you say you dont want rubbing:
You will definitely be in trouble in the rear if you lower the car. May be fine if you are stock height. Would definitely recommend going with 275/30R20 (not 35). Maybe even consider 265/30R20 if you are planning on lowering the car and don't want to risk having to roll fenders.

In front et25 with a 245 tire will not fit on our cars. I recommend at least 235/30 or 235/35

In the rear it's way too tall. You need a 275/25 or 275/30. If it's x-drive, then move to an equal-diameter 265 tire.

Thanks loads for the replies. My heads been spinning a little with all the different sizes lol!

I was going to purchase KW V1 Coilovers for the car to obtain the perfect ride height, but am so nervous about spending the best part of £3000/$4000 on a setup if it's not correctly fitting. I'd be totally gutted.

So taking that into consideration, the fitment of KW V1s would you suggest a slightly less aggressive Offset?

I'd like my car to look like the following....

https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=...AAAAAdAAAAABAD

Any advice, again is appreciated....i'm trigger happy so quick replies are great!!!

Thanks
