Its more responsive down low, but uptop acts a little funny. Still didn’t hit boost target on the dyno that well compared to street…Even with all this it hit 633/625 on a stingy dyno. Hellcat hit about same #’s i did, gt500 with work done hit 700. My car was spinning; so they threw a guy in the trunk. Hopefully the sound comes thru the vids. It sounds great.

Fuel today: E45
Next: Getting the tune refined. I want that 5000-6500rpm torque as flat as possible(smooth). Also working with Steve (wedge) to see if mid 6’s 60-130 is possible. This power level is pretty solid. Its damn reliable as my daily and right on the line where theres tons of power but also have traction.

Eventually; stage’s a/w intercooler & maybe ported head with their cams.

I want to pull the trigger on a Pure 750 but I feel like an EFR is a better buy especially when you get into the 600+ range. Now, if they made us a Pure 850, I'd buy that. Maybe I'm wrong in my thinking?

You're going to be pushing the turbo real hard to get to 700whp.

if you can afford an efr kit do it. Efficiency will DEFINITELY be better. Doubt they will make an 850/900 since the standard blocks or trans dont last much above 700..One of the guys lifted the head with his 750. Once you’re going built motor/etc…doesn’t make sense to go hybrid.

I saw that InHousePerformance lifted his head. His 535i build is really cool. I plan to do a build motor with a closed deck block. The problem I'm running into is finding an EFR internally gated turbo that will work on my Xdrive car. 4N Motorsport has yet to confirm if their kits fits Xdrive.

Cause thats what i had in her..Filled it up at the station before heading in…might get a pail of sunoco e85 next time, but im always using pump with a mix around e50…

I doubt we’ll see 7’s out of this turbo. 100% duty cycle on race gas might do it but i’d never run it that way…This setup has 650+ in it easy. You’re welcome to get a pure750, port injection and go for it though

I'm waiting for them to respond. I have a BPM4 EKP so I have a fuel system that can withstand up to 1200hp so I'd like to take advantage of a full frame turbo when the time is right. Most important to me is packaging and retaining stock like drivability. The turbos I'd consider are BorgWarner, Precision or Garret.

fyi regarding turbo size & speed…steve wedge built a 235 with a bigboost 3.4 kit on pi. did 5.5 60-130..think he was mid 700’s on 36 psi

I did see that. Luckily with my EKP, it's canbus integrated where I can skip PI and do straight DI. I think Big Boost is a great value but would prefer one of the three Turbo manufacturers I listed earlier.

You could reach out and ask them, I know an e-chassis guy they did a Garret for. And they do EFR for b58 and s55, so they're familiar. Disclaimer, that guy's garret kit didn't exactly fit well, but he did get it running with some mods.

I'll probably go BorgWarner but you have given me another option in asking them.

It's safer too.

Less torque punch at lower RPMs means less chance of stuff breaking.
