Anyone have an Intake for 2014 328d US?

Looking for an AFE intake kit. LMK if you have one!

The afe one seems to introduce a lot of boost lag on these. The stock one outperforms it 100%. Also the silicone mount is a disaster and will slip off the turbo.
Overall 2/10 product.

If it's for performance gains, I'd be looking at other options.

With modern turbo diesels operating on the basis of a continuous over-supply of pressurised air, rather than the need for the precise air-fuel ratios in a petrol motor which utilise a throttle in the truer sense of the word, these high flow air filters do not create any performance benefit.

My 30d is remapped to +90bhp over stock and the OEM filter handles that without any issues.

I couldn't swallow the price for an AFE unit so I made one. It was a Burger Motorsports cone filter sitting behind the radiator routed to a modified OEM turbo intake pipe. Looked great and didn't seem to hurt performance but it was too loud. The turbo spooling up sounds nice but there's a lot of whooshing and gusting that just doesn't sound appropriate for a daily-driver. I monitored the AIT and nothing horrible. Any heat that built up in stop-and-go quickly dissipated once at speed. T'was a fun task but I'm back with stock element, stock airbox.

I put a k&n drop in high flow filter in stock air box. No noticeable performance gain but it gives a little
More turbo whistle and whooshing if that's what you're looking for.

I also couldnt mentally justify the high price tag of the AFE air box and filter kit. Plus I didn't want that big afe logo on it. Dinan also makes one similar but also $$$.

Sorry, I don't. If we get rain this weekend and I'm stuck indoors I'll do the swap again and take pics.

I have the afe installed on the 328d. Performance wise you will not notice any gains. But it does provide a noticeable difference in sound quality. If that's what your after then it's worth it. I installed it almost two years ago and I've had no problems.
