Installed the bms short shifter, managed to do it without removing exhaust or lowering the transmission, but this apparent shortcut ended up taking longer. The knob is a bit crooked but I was expecting this, seems to be a common thing. The feel is great, almost like a gated shifter. The downside is that takes more effort to shift and actually slower shifts!

Put a new set of 225/45 18's Federal ST 1's summer tires on, what a difference...Quiet, extra grip, even in the rain...might be just the xDrive, really can't say...can't say anything about the wear, but they are a 300 treadwear rating...probably only last until next summer though. Too old to go ripping around burning up tires...Was done with run flats last year, but last set was all seasons which really sucked, by the way...But since I live in Florida, should technically be able to use them all year round.

I replaced the battery in my F30 and registered the new one with Bimmerlink. Very easy process.

Except now my backup camera stopped working. I don't have an error message on the screen (other than a code for "Reverse camera missing"), the PDC indicator expanded to take up most of the screen, and all the camera options are greyed out. The fuse was good, so I think I must have disconnected a cable while wrangling the battery out of the trunk. Can anyone tell me which cables in the trunk are hooked up to the backup camera?

Had the rear wheel bearings and hubs replaced due to a howeling sound coming from the rear. $1k later she is smooth as silk and quiet!!

Headlight upgrade? From what to what? The 335 could come with halogen reflectors???
Probably getting my OEM Xenon updated by bayoptiks or something similar soon. Too much silver / chrome in the stock units for my tastes.

I drove on summer tires year round in North Alabama. It's fine.

Agreed! My first impression is that they definitely felt softer.

Also smells pretty great too IMO!

I think I'll be doing my second cleaning since getting it this week as the weather around me has been less than stellar with all the rain

My clothes getting wet and then on the seats has probably rubbed it away but hey I'm not complaining I love cleaning my car XD

I'm originally from NYC, Westchester actually...I always drove summer tires, never once changed to all seasons, or snow tires...not even once, no accidents...thankfully, but then again, never drove in an actual snowstorm either...always waited it out. I'm sure xDrive and Quattro from the last AUDI helped, other previous cars were rwd anyway, all seemed to come summer tires anyway...In fact, never even got stuck before. Original run flat tires on the BMW were Pirelli P7 cinturato's all seasons, and they sucked...too loud, too rough, not enough grip, really felt bad. couldn't wait until they wore out, the only thing that I could say, they wore on ...forever...: almost 55k on the set before the rears wore out.

Looks great. How much did you pay for the full set, if I may ask?
