I have standard run flats on my 430i xDrive and would like to run staggered wider tires probably a MichelinPS4.

I've heard there are certain limits to what you can run, but I am seeking advice on rims and tire widths. Is it possible to run F82 M4 tires on my F32 and is there a good way to check dimension combinations that fit?

I was thinking 225/?/19 front and 245/?/19 rears but am open to suggestions. I have my car in the shop for stage 2 and think that my tires will be a big limitation.

You can easily run 245/40/19 on all four corners. If you are getting new wheels, are you specifically wanting a staggered wheel setup? I ran 19x8.5 m351 wheels with 245/40/19 tires on Eibach Sport springs with no issues whatsoever. In fact, those wheels are now for sale 😉

Thank you! I'll keep this in mind and will DM you later when switching tires.

No specific need for staggered if there are no big benefits, but staggered apparently is what the OEM releases, then again those are for RWD only cars.

I hear it may be easier to just run same tire on AWD!

edit: also just for better theoretical handling on the front fire with skinnier tire.

both these statements are incorrect.

bmw has staggered setups on rwd or x-drive. it depends on what line, package or options, or combination thereof.

OEM 225/255 stagger will understeer compared to a 245 or 255 square setup.

so doesn't BMW use a 225/245 stagger on their M cars? But for an xDrive it sounds like a square 245/40/19 might be what i'm looking for.

bmw uses 225/245 stagger on 2-series, however on F3/4-series bmw uses 255/255 stagger.

personally i don't care for 245/40/19(26.7"). although taller tires ride better, provide more impact protection and are able to reduce unsightly x-drive fenderwell gaps(without lowering), taller/heavier tires worsen acceleration, braking and turn-in.

i prefer 255/35/19(26") or 245/35/19(25.8") ET35ish , square, lowered on eibach springs with koni yellow dampers if you want sharp handling.

if you want to use OEM 437M wheels, 235/40/19--265/35/19 works nice on x-drive, like this... https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...4&postcount=63
