XHP Stage 3 Flash issue 340i

Hi I recently purchased XHP license and map pack for my 2016 340i, I am currently on bm3 stage 2 with catless dp and now I am trying to go stage 3 XHP transmission tune for my 340i! The problem I am having is that every time I flash to stage 3 the trans malfunction and chassis stabilization codes shows up and doesn’t go away until I go flash back to stock. Anyone went through this issue? Any solution?

I have almost the same car, same setup, and no issues with xHP stage 3. Does it show up on every one of their stages?

You might want to reach out to xHP and see what they say.

When you flashed to stage 3 and the % thing started did it go all the way up to 7% and says finishing? That’s what happening to me, I told XHP my issue and they said to uninstall and reinstall the app, I’m trying this tomorrow.

No issues like that. As far as I can remember, it went all the way to about 100% and then said finishing.

Are you using custom flash settings?

I flashed stage 2 on my 440i xDrive last week and ran into a similar issue. First flash: stage 2 with custom settings, errors. Second flash: stage 2 again with no custom settings, no problem. Not sure if it's the custom settings or I just had an issue on the first flash unlocking the trans though.

Maybe an issue with the MHD wireless flash thing? First time I used my Samsung Galaxy S9 with an ethernet to OBD, next time just my laptop with the ethernet to OBD.

First run was stock OTS maps. Rest of the time I did have custom settings.

My 2016 340 has had bm3 stg2 with xHP stg 3 for over a year now. Never any issues. I am sure you will get it sorted.
