Zimmerman Two Piece Rotors?
Has anyone bought these and can confirm that these are indeed a two piece design similar to the stock 335i rotors (340mm not 370mm)?
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...nn-34106797602 I contacted FCP Euro about them and questioned that the photo for the listing was the exact same photo as for the M Performance rotors that cost 3x as much but the response I received was a typical canned response and didn't build much confidence. If they actually are as claimed, then I've got to say this would be a no brainer when I replace my rotors, but if, as I suspect, they are a solid 1 piece with zimmerman coatings then I am not so sure. |

Additionally, if you have the M Sport brake (S2NHA) you could get Zimmerman part number 150.2905.32 which is a 2-piece rotor, slotted and dimpled and carried by FCP

True big brake kits such as BremboGT use "floating" two-piece rotors which allows for the different heat characteristics of the two different metals used for the rotor hat and the rotor braking surface. |

I have both the BMW and Pagid branded simple and slotted rotors. Both are made in Italy and both are physically the same in apperance. Only difference is that the hub (aluminium part) is uncoated on the BMW rotors and coated on on the Pagid. |

Picture of the m performance rotors when new. You can clearly see the rotor is coated (except for the bare aluminium hub) https://c1552172.ssl.cf0.rackcdn.com/612641_x800.webp |

So I sent a bunch more emails back and forth with Kevin at FCPEuro and he advised that the part number "150.2906.32", is the part listed on the site and the Zimmerman reference number on the FCPEuro site is incorrect. So these are the 2 piece rotors despite the confusion.
I am going to risk it and order a set in the next week. I'll post an update with pictures. If they are not as claimed they'll go straight back. |

Hey that's good to know. Hopefully they will update their website. I've been in communication with Kyle at FCP to see if they can start carrying the rear versions.
My email to Kyle... Quote:

Because you have to pay for the next set from Rock Auto haha. Go FCPEuro for all wear items if at all possible.

I live near enough to the border that the extra shipping costs from Rock Auto to get it to Canada ($180 CDN shipping + guaranteed duties and taxes = ~$250) don't make sense over the free shipping from FCPEuro to my US address. Rock Auto charges $50 to ship to my US address and doesn't carry the other parts I am looking to order at the same time from FCP.

These 370mm and others are only semifloating two piece. All are steel faces with aluminum hats. ECS makes one that saves you about 2lbs in the aluminum hat piece. The dimensions we can fit don't allow for a true floating two piece rotor.
