BMW 435i JB4 drivetrain malfunction error

After I installed my jb4 and evolution racewerks charge pipe I have been getting this drivetrain malf. It has no decrease in performance it just pops up and goes away. I read the code with a reader and the code is p0172. Is there a way to stop this code from appearing? Or is it not harmful?

P0172
A google search brings the possible causes
- Faulty front heated oxygen sensor
- Ignition misfiring
- Faulty fuel injectors
- Exhaust gas leaks
- Incorrect fuel pressure
- Faulty Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor

do you have your JB4 set to delete codes? might be the DP and O2 sensor not reading properly since there is no cat.

Yes the jb4 is set to delete codes. I have a downpipe with 200 cell race cats, diverter valve and a CAI I'm installing this weekend. Would there be any parts I can replace while I'm down there to fix the problem? Or should I just order a jb4 cable and turn off the auto clear to get a better read of the code?

Can you read the code with the JB4? Through the software / USB. Generic scanners don't read properly on these cars.
