CSF cooler and ER cp

im having a massive head ache with my CSF cooler and ER charge pipe. i have probably had a boost leak for 2 years now but only noticed it with the custom Jordan tune loosing 5 psi.

i cannot get the bottom half of the cp to line up with the top the angle is completely different and if i do align them then the cp has to sit at an angle from the cooler which creates a leak. is there any other cp one would recommend?

Not sure whats going with the top side with just that one ☝️ picture. Would help to see. Otherwise worse comes to worse cut your current charge pipe in the middle and add a quality silicone boot and it'll give you more flex in your charge pipe. But that's a last resort measure to save money. Prior to Try loosening all bolts and play around with all the pieces loose and try one more to also make sure the o-ring is still good and hasn't been pinched.
remove the upper clip on the charge pipe and Try locking the bottom in place first. Then push it all up and lock the upper

FTP charge pipe - or try a suggestion from the other thread.

Personally, I would just spring for the new CP and sell the current.

Its a very tight fit with CSF FMIC and ER charge pipe

Its best to use the Active Autowerke or FTP CP or get the Evolution Racewerks intercooler instead

That's a massive amount of oil coming out of our CP... did you add oil to the Oring or is that all blowby/PCV?

As far as the fitment goes, i would try a larger Oring first. Even if the bottom (IC side) of the CP is at a slightly angle, if the Oring is big enough and the clip is fully engaged you should not have a leak. You should also install the bottom first and use the maximum length of the coupler to minimize the angle at the bottom. A longer coupler may also solve your problem, perhaps one with a 45 deg angle. See the Oring thread for Oring sizes

before shelling out for a new cp. i'd look at an offset or 22 degree elbow silicone coupler. there's numerous iterations offered, some with varying diameters. if necessary, cut the excess with a razor knife following a tape line.

as others have mentioned you ought to replace the o-rings, since they are likely damaged.

lastly, you may want to consider gettng an oil catch can.

Let us know how it goes, this could be a great solution to customers looking to use ER charge pipe with other brands intercoolers

I'd be quite concerned about all that oil if it truly is coming out of the CP/IC. That's not normal.

Lots of oil blowby could be a sign of out of round cylinder walls. Something to keep in mind.

N55 doesn’t see much oil blowby stock. That’s why its suspect to me but doesn’t really have to mean that.

I am having the same issues with my CSF. I've taken some measurements compared to OEM and think I have found the issue. I'm in contact with them now so will let you know what I find

ChristosD Any update on whether the 22 degree coupler solved the misalignment? I'm curious whether a coupler with bend, offset, or hump will solve this problem since I already have ER CP and am considering adding an ATM FMIC (similar inlet/outlet locations as CSF).

FaRKle! May know, but you should be ok. My understanding is the fit issues ar with XI models.

Word back from CSF EU wasn't promising unfortunately. I've put forward the argument that the CSF outlets sit higher than the OEM cooler by 6mm on the right hand side and 9mm on the left hand side. Their response is that I should try a different brand of charge pipe which I find disheartening

My CSF cooler is making the OEM turbo pipe sit on the following angle;

Seems similar to ChristosD issue
