What's the lowest predicted range for a full tank

Just for fun, I was wondering what the lowest range you've seen on a full tank.
I was driving a bit angry the other night and after filling up, predicted range was 574 kms.
The weirdest part is that at no point during the half tank we used, did it ever readjust to the more typical gentler driving(but still above average for typical commuting).
For the first quarter of the tank it went down like 80 kms, then ~150 for the 2nd quarter down to half or so.
Typically on a fill up, we'll see 650 to 7 something for predicted range.

I know it bases it off of recent driving habits, but 30 minutes of angry driving, should be over ridden by 2 to 3 hours or typical driving.

Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty sure it bases it on your habits right before you fill up. Like the last 1/4 tank or so. That way it can accurately predict the next tank.

That's what I've noticed at least.

Heck I fill up almost twice a 7 day period, sometimes 10 days. Driving in sport mode, local driving, compromises fuel efficiency severely. I stopped keeping track of fuel range.

Get it down to less than 1/4 tank on a hilly stretch of road and you'll see something interesting. Going up hill your mileage indicator will go down, and so will the remaining range. The mileage indicator reacts immediately, the remaining range takes a bit, as that only updates every few miles. After you crest the hill and start down the other side the mileage will go up, and with the next remaining range update it will go up too.

I don't really keep track, just note what my predicted range is and then drive it like I want to. I did for the first 5k or so, just to see how accurate it was, and given reasonable conditions and use of your right foot. it's pretty good, which is great to know when trying to stretch it on a long trip.
Before it went in for a service, the trip counter was over 9000, so it's been a while since either of us cared to track it.

I agree - mine varies quite a bit, depending how rushed I was to the diesel pump. I think I have seen low 600s as my prediction with around 750mi as my high. I reached neither, my average is somewhere in the middle.

However, in the course of driving from full to fuel reserve / please refuel message, I average around 650 miles for 14.5 gal. My personal best was 687mi for 14.4 gal, but that included not driving over 70 mph and no traffic jams. I usually refuel when there are 30 miles left to empty.

While not normal driving, my lowest I've observed is 171 on a full tank.....on the track According to iDrive, I average 6mpg and burn through 3/4 tank in about 40 minutes.

This is from a couple of weeks ago and after only <6 miles on a full tank but each 2.6 mile lap drops the predicted remaining by about 4-5 miles.

You're actually the exact target crowd for who I hoped would be answering, as I figured people who track their cars would see the lowest numbers, but 171 is ridiculous lol

Fueling up after two consecutive laps of the Nürburgring showed a range of 103 miles with a full tank. Unfortunately I didn't think to take a picture.
That was probably quite optimistic. Each 12 mile lap was eating just under quarter of a tank.

One gallon a fuel when it says zero miles left.

This is probably the most important statistic to take away from this thread

Shouldn't be running these cars down that low, lots of worn out/over heating fuel pumps because of it.
