Brembo Brake Discs?

Hi does anyone run the below brake discs? Before I commit and do a buy any feedback on them? Brake dust? sequel? etc?

Are they aluminium hats too?

Planning on running them with some Ferodo ds2500 pads.

https://www.autodoc.co.uk/brembo/8714339

Cheers

At £140 each, those discs are expensive.

I recently bought 345mm TRW slotted and dimpled discs for my car, as part of a rear brake upgrade, for <£60 each and they are still listed at that price. I appreciate they are slightly smaller.

Yes, technically they, and the Brembo units, are 2-piece but not in the true sense, i.e. the discs aren't floating. Hats are aluminium.

Dust and squeal are dependent on the pads, rather than the discs.

Just buy plain discs.

Grooved, dimpled & drilled are all noisy. They just look good.

+1 for the TRW ones. Two Piece means they are Aluminium/Steel on AutoDoc.

Be careful as Autodoc didnt have stock for my rears so sent me 2x TRW front and 2x Zimmerman rears (1 peice). I do question what they deem to be a suitable replacement - they should just tell the customer their options.

I found the TRW ones cheaper on Mister Auto Ebay Shop occasionally.

I have these sat in my garage ready to fit.

They look like a quality engineered bit of kit. Should be a good swap from my nearly done fronts.

I think I paid £330 for discs and pads, as they worked out cheaper than the zimmerman ones also recommended on here.

oh btw - they aren't drilled, just dimpled, the "perforated" note on the add is missleading but I was glad as drilled can gather dust etc etc.

Cheers

That's good to know they are NOT drilled, only dimpled!

What pads are going to run with them?

Where did you buy yours from?

Cheers.

I got TRW plain discs front and rear, matched with brembo pads. No squeal and excellent performance.
I swopped them myself and saved £500 for what the stealers wanted.

Yep, I got the Brembo slotted and dimpled from Autodoc as they were the cheapest I could find and you also get a further discount if you order through their app.

I got them mostly for the look to be honest and they do really finish off the look behind the wheels. They do make a rumble but only under hard breaking. Daily driving they're fine, no squeaks or noise at all and dust doesn't seem to be any worse than before. Paid a smidge over £550 for all 4 discs, both sets of Brembo pads and both break sensors and a good indy fitted them for £200. Main dealer quoted £750 for the standard discs and pads on the front so I was happy with getting the lot upgraded for the same price

Getting the plain TRW's also as I ordered the slotted and dimpled from Autodoc for front and and rear went to fit them and before tightening them on, had a walk around and noticed that the left side went on as the pic above (James_335d) and the other side went in the opposite direction...

wanted plain ones anyway but the price was nice..oh well.

I've noticed this too on my Zimmerman's which have just been fitted on the front. I assumed they would be in the opposite direction too but no big deal, the main reason I got them was to improve the looks behind the wheel and the holes tick that box for me.

I did go for plain discs on the rear though just to keep costs down.

I’ve recently fitted Brembo discs and I think they’re perfect. Bit pricey but worth it. But saying that old knackered discs to anything new is always satisfying as long as there’s no squeaking.

Was looking at the TRW discs on auto doc tonight, very good price but then read reviews about auto doc, how do you guys that ordered from them rate them? A lot of people complaining about length of time for delivery and getting orders wrong!

Autodoc are the cheapest I could find but delivery took longer than expected, I think it was 6 working days in total. Products were spot on when they arrived though so can't complain too much. If you do use them then buy through their app for a slightly bigger discount and I tended to be sent 'special offers' every day.

If you don't want to wait as long then try Carparts4less. They are still cheap and quick to deliver and also arranged free collection when I ordered the wrong parts.

Auto doc used to be a pain a few years ago.. Much much better now..5 or 6 days for delivery... But always right for me. Its true the app is usually cheapest.. Bit I recently bought trw disc and they were £40 cheaper for 2 from the website:

If you sign up to the auto doc newsletter then they email when they have their sale.

I waited until they reduced the prices by 50% which didn't take too long

Yup my Brembo discs front and rear are ordered.
Now got my set of pads and pad wear indicators sat in the basket waiting for a bigger discount on them too. Not in any rush as wasn't planning to do them until next year anyway
