Don't know but look closely in the middle those long particles that got me worried, if there was no OCC those stuff would be in intake, intercooler ect.

I own an F30 320i Luxury line MY 2013 with the standard 6.5" Radio Professional iDrive. When I bought the car, I tried to special order BMW Professional navigation but stupid Bavarian told me it was standard to the 28i and 35i only. Now they offer it as standard in the new 320is Does anyone know if I can retrofit the NBT navigation with 8.8" screen in my car? Can you also help me with what add-ons I can have: apps, BMW live, internet...etc

Has anyone also experience a rattling noise with the steering wheel when normal braking on a bumpy road. Took the car to the dealer in Nozha and told me the noise is normal!!! Any ideas?

I am a bit of a rookie so bare with me pls

Rusty are you sure that small particles comes from the engine? is it metallic parts or plastic?
OCC vent air from the valve cover which means this parts came from the valves area.
That is interesting we have to do more research on it. Lets call Terry from Burg.Motorsports and let him give us his thoughts.

Hi Bimmer80 welcome aboard

I have the same rattle noise , after multiple visits and complaints the dealer in qatamyia center were able to fix it by changing some part.

Still they were not able to fix a squeaking noise coming from the steering wheel. It disappeared after the rattle fix but came back with the heat in the summer.

Thanks Ouzzo for the tip. I guess I will do the same and start nagging may be they could find a solution to this noise. Bad thing is that the dealer here is really lousy and very untrustworthy for the brand.

Anyhow, an ideas about the navigation system retrofit. Can anyone help? It would just be a beauty to have the 8.8 incher with all the apps, internet and navigation

Well it is possible of course, idk tho if it will void warranty.. Also, it will cost you over 20k so you need to consider that too

well as the instructions say it comes from the engine, still idk .. I sent the pictures to JON @ BMS he said he doesn't have a clue what these particles are or where it came from, I'll shoot Terry same email & see if he has an idea about it because it's serious stuff, I though I am only protecting the engine from oil accumulating but now I never regret buying such a thing.

Hey Bimmer80, well you can retro fit but the dealer told Osmansky it will be out of warranty, so you need to consider it aside from it's price. yea I have same noise from steering while turning slowly left but that's only when the car sits in sun & it's not that bad or loud so it's not bothering me, the people working their are crazy lol.. make a stand & yell they will do it right away at least they will try

Thanks man for the tip. Well I believe it would not be smart to lose the warranty now. May be delay the project for a while. Is there anything I could do though to beef up the infotainment system without losing the warranty. Any coding or light hardware perhaps to at least improve synchronisation with iphone and perhaps use apps?! I can't even connect it the iPod!

to Connect the ipod/iphone you will need the Y-Cable (special cable from BMW)

Hi bimmer80, check the viseoo solution. Will give you blutooth streaming till we do the retrofit.

Also since we are so many that might go for the NBT. I guess we should order together maybe we can get a good rate

yea you can get the Y-cable as Omar said, I think Osmansky bought it not sure about that.. for your car coding can be done but you won't get that much for this idrive.
