Dual exhaust - what are my options?
Hi
I want to change the rear end look of my car by replacing the diffuser with a dual M-performance one and at the same time swap out my existing exhaust for a dual. At the moment i have a twinpipe on the left side. The car is a F36 420d xdrive 2016. From wich cars with a dual exhaust can i make a straight swap? Will it fit from the 430, 435 and 440? I have an electrically manouvered towbar installed aswell, i know that the M-performance diffuser will have to be modified a little or else the towbar will get caught in it while unfolding. But will it be a problem when it comes to the muffler? Thanks! |

I got my back box removed and a y pipe fitted for my duals for like £300 would that not be easier? Failing that the 335 435 340 and 440s will all fit but will need welding

Yeah thats true. That option has not crossed my mind. But how is the sound without any muffler at all? Isnt it very loud?

Valvetronic provides dual outlet exhausts and are pretty cheap compared to the alternatives. I'm going to be getting one myself.

I am also trying to do this at the moment on my f32, but after comparing prices, straight piping would be significantly cheaper than getting a new muffler or exhaust system. It would be pretty loud straight piped, so that's something to consider.
