Charge pipe and Intlet Pipe aluminum
GFB Dv +
I already have the BMC air filter and the BMW M PERFORMANCE exhaust.

My question: After these installations I plan to put the MHD Stage 2+ card, does the "OEM / Catted DPs" option remove the error that my Wagner Downpipe without catalyst will cause please?

Yes you want the catted dp box unchecked to prevent the cel.

You're gonna have a big power boost with the bolt ons and flash happening at once. Enjoy!

Hello and thank you for your answer friend,

The google translation tells me that your answer is that the OEM / Catted DPs box is unchecked?

I thought I had to check it / select it, so that I don't have an error after installing my "Downpipe Catless"

The little French is a little lost with the translations on this one, please forgive me

The box is for OEM/catted DP. So if you check it, you are saying YES, do DO have OEM/catted DPs, so the CEL remains ON.

If you UNCHECK the box, it means you do NOT have OEM/catted DPs, so the CEL is DISABLED.

So with catless, or even hi-flow catted pipes that don't guarantee to avoid the CEL, leave the box UNCHECKED.

Yes, exactly.

I leave it checked with my fabspeed, which guarantees no CEL, and i do not get one (I leave it checked so i can know if the DP is not performing up to par). But aside from fabspeed and AA catted DPs, leave unchecked.

Thank you friends

Yours needs to be unchecked correct. But even with a high flow catted downpipe it would be unchecked. Only a high CEL stock downpipe would be checked. But for yours all you need to know is leave it unchecked and enjoy the mods.

I have AA high flow catted downpipe. I keep the box checked so the system will alert me if there is an issue with either the catalyst or the o2 sensor.

No cel yet with dp installed about a year. Just installed ps2 hoping it stays off.

Hey everyone, I wanted to see if you all use 5W-30 oil in your tuned F series or did you switch to 5W-40? Thanks.

I'm curious about this question. I wouldn't think it'd matter, but there are some smart folks on here that might have some solid justification one way or the other.

Not to discount the validity of this question, but please don't turn this into an oil debate thread. There are dozens of those with hundreds if not thousands of posts in the maintenance/TSB section. Please go there:

Today we are proud to announce the public release of our first MHD+ feature, ethanol content reading over CANBUS for F-series S55/N55/N13.

CANBUS sensor integration allows a truly flexible way for users to add a multitude of sensor inputs and outputs to the DME, as you are no longer limited by the number of "available physical pins." For the initial release, we have provided deep integration for two popular devices: the Motiv Motorsport Re|Flex, and the Zeitronix ECA-2 CAN.

Hooking up the Zeitronix ECA-2 CAN and flashing with our flash option preset for it will allow you to view and log Ethanol % and Fuel temperature (as pictured).
Hooking up the Motiv Re|Flex and flashing with our flash option preset for it will allow you to view and log Ethanol %, Port Injection DC, Port Injector errors, as well as the Re|Flex's auxiliary input and output data.

We have also added in depth safeties and failsafes surrounding this integration. For example, if there is an issue with a CAN sensor signal (timeout, etc), ethanol water contamination, Re|Flex PI injector issue, etc, the car will throw a check engine light and enter a low power limp mode for safety. The "Read Codes" screen in MHD will show these new custom diagnostic codes such as MHD001, MHD002 etc along with the description (as pictured). These error codes function exactly like OEM: they are properly debounced, maintain a "shadow code" copy when appropriate, and can be configured individually if they should / shouldn't cause a low power limp mode! We want to ensure 100% safety is maintained with all new features.

As you may have guessed, this all ties in directly with one of our next upcoming features, FlexFuel! Stay tuned!

News of my case: appointment is made on 02/09/2021 to install: Radiator WAGNER EVO COMPETITION 2 + CHARGE PIPE - INTLET PIPE in ALU + WAGNER DOWNPIPE CATLESS (I am not currently mounting the GFB Dv + car it's too complicated and expensive)
Then: Test and road test
Then: Passage to the bench and study of the curves (CV, pressure, injection, heat, NM etc ...)
Then: Injection of the Stage 3 card of Xhp Flashtool (with no option)
Then: Injection of the standard card (for n55 PWG) MHD STAGE 2+ (Option : Cold start noise reduction, [no]Apply a linear[no] Burble Sport "soft OEM" 1.6S duration, Coolant target, and Roar start) => XHP FLASHTOOL box checked => OEM CATTED DPS = box unchecked
Then: Passage to the bench and study of the curves (CV, pressure, injection, heat, NM etc ...)
Then: "Fabian" takes care of my personalized MHD card, with time and many tests (we especially trust)
Then: Passage to the bench and study of the curves (CV, pressure, injection, heat, NM etc ...)
Report all of this right here in the next few days.

Nice, sounds like a good plan. One thing i would note is that i thought i read somewhere you arent supposed to use the linear throttle option with XHP. I forget where. Might be worth confirming/checking in to.

Also in my opinion there is no reason to run the lower coolant target for daily driving. It makes your radiator fan run ALOT. I tried it for a bit and turned it back off.

Hello and thank you for your help.

I've always selected "linear throttle option" since flashing with MHD, but I think what you're saying makes a lot of sense!

Because if I find (on another post in another discussion) that Xhp Flashtool is not well adjusted with its gearbox passages too low, well it may be because of this option! ??

I think I will therefore leave the Xhp Flashtool stage 3 without any options, then the MHD stage 2+ but without the linear throttle application option.

I still want to leave "Target coolant" because I find that the IAT is undersized on the F20s, the temperatures really rise very high / very quickly in standard use and with an average outside temperature.

Example this morning 60 kilometers * in ultra cool driving mode, with 3 frank acceleration (6200trs / min max) I arrived with a coolant which is at 111 and 118 oil temperature!

* 7 kms from town only.

my car has just been emptied 2 days ago...

Thank you again for your precious help guys !!

Stock oil temp target is about 245F which is 118C so that sounds exactly right. Coolant temp target is 230F or so in comfort mode with low ambient temps, and coolant temp target is adjusted based on mode, driving aggression, and ambient temps. Coolant temp target gets lower the harder to drive and the hotter it is outside. What you said is completely normal and what BMW designed for.

There's not necessarily any harm in going a little lower with the coolant flash option, but it remains to be seen if that will shorten the lifespan of your fan or anything. If you are driving hard enough to see oil over 250F and coolant over 235F, then maybe you "need" the flash option.

I did switch to Motul xcess 5W40 oil, but not only just because of the tune I guess, running stage 2+ for 3 years now.

FAQ:
Q: Can I test the connection before making a purchase?
A: Yes, simply tap the MHD Store button. The ECU connection is checked before displaying available purchases.

Q: Can I tune different cars with one license?
A:Each vehicle has its own unique license (VIN and google account locked), tuning a different car requires purchasing a new license.

Q: Can I tune multiple cars with one google play account?
A: Yes, you can purchase multiple licenses with one google play account.

Q: Can I transfer my licenses?
A: Licenses are personal and stored by google along the account used at purchase time. The purchases are tied by google to the first account and can’t be transferred to a new google account.

Q: Does my Android device need to be permanently plugged to the OBD port?
A: No. Once a flash is performed you can unplug your device.

Q: Do I need to purchase a new license each time I flash a map?
A: No, you can reflash as many times as needed. MHD maps updates are free.

Q: Is a battery charger required?
A: It is highly recommended for long flashes (install, uninstall). A healthy battery will handle short flashes (map changes) fine but the use of a battery charger remains recommended.

Q: How do I take good data logs?
A: Press the Monitor (auto log) button, stabilize around 2500 rpm / 3rd gear (4th on 8 speed AT) with DSC fully off. Mash the pedal, shift at 6500 and 2-3s after the shift into 4 release the throttle. Slow down, stop the monitor. If you want us to review your log, then upload the log to www.datazap.me and send us the link.

This Product is for Competition/Racing/Off-Road Use Only.

Hey Jeremy was wondering if you can take a second look at my log running the Stage 2+ e30 map. The car was pulling strong but I'm worried about it running a bit too lean unless thats normal AFR

Yeah this looks fine. These cars tend to run leaner than what you would expect by comparing to like a 90s turbo car for example (especially since DI). Ethanol maps also run leaner than pump gas maps. Your AFR is pretty much right on target and STFTs are reasonable.
