Thanks. I'm looking forward to enjoying the back end of the summer with this car. Assuming we will see some sun of couse as this summer has been a bit of a let down compared to last year.

I'm on my holidays at the moment so watching every single YouTube video I can find on the Z4 several times over in anticipation! From what I have seen and from the test drive I had I'm expecting this little car to be a cracker and hopefully something I will enjoy long term. I just want a car that makes me want to go and drive it for the fun of it which is a buzz I don't get from the 440i GC. Although it has been a really nice car which I am sure I will miss at times. I'm certainly looking forward to ditching the runflats on the 4 series as they have been awful.

I'm sure there will be some good deals next year on the Z4 for you. The Germans will not want to lose are trade ( we hope ).
Here's a vid you might not have seen. Its the 30i admittedly but the guy is insightful and makes some interesting points, one of the better YouTube reviewers

I hadn't seen this particular video so thanks for posting. Again its another good review the Z4 is getting here on the whole. Interesting that he found it a much better drivers car than the M2C which was also backed up with his laps times in the day.
Yeh, this guy is a really good reviewer, one of the best on YT, imo. I've watched a few more vids from his channel. He knows his stuff, is uniquely insightful and isn't a dickhead like 99% of the others out there. How many other reviewers get the car up on a lift and point out that most of the front suspension components are shared with the M4? And then highlights that the front and rear tracks are the same width as the M2's but that the wheelbase is 8" shorter?
In his final thoughts, he says that one of the car's real strengths is that it "feels like a sports car that they've added on luxury to instead of being a luxury car that they've tarted up into a sports car".
Next summer can't come quickly enough

Beautifully balanced with really nice feed back, the b58 with the ZF box just feels so much more refined. Sure on the limit the M2C is better, but only just imo!

I know what id be picking if i needed a nice car to enjoy the sunny days!
Couldn't agree more. The 2 series and M2 has been left in the dark ages!

Picking the car up this morning.

The weather is looking good down south so I can get the roof down.

Looking forward to your thoughts and review.

I'm thinking of the same journey 440i GC to Z4 M40i

Here she is...... collected from Berry Chiswick this morning. A good handover but I asked for it to be kept short and sweet as I needed to get back to the office. Looking forward to having a good play with the car later. I will let everyone know my thoughts on it once I have lived with it a little while but I'm loving it so far after a short drive across London. Had the roof down and the noise from the exhaust was fantastic. Lots of nice crackles on the overrun. Had a few little short bursts in sport plus and it feels nice quick for sure. Looking forward to the weekend to give it a nice run on the some of the more twisty roads in west sussex where I live. The car is booked in next week also for a detail protection also.

Edit Yep! Looks stunning. Very..... erm... black!

But stop worrying about photos and go and drive the damn thing! I'm relying on the detailer to get some good photos of mine!

Thanks mate. As I went for the Saphire black paintwork I thought I may as well go for the Black Pack on the car as well for something different. Balanced out though as the car has an ivory white leather interior.

I'm getting no work done today - just can't wait to get in the car and drive home to enjoy.

Would love to work from home tomorrow but have a couple of site meeting's in London to attend unfortunatatly.

A meet would be good as you say to show off the new toys.

Now you have an M5 you can join the Knightsbridge middle easten chaps showing off their supercars!

Looks the dog's nuts. BSM definitely looks better on this Z4 than the frosted grey you were originally contemplating.
Get the top down, get your foot down and enjoy!!
Which packs did you go for, btw?

It looks fantastic, if I was in the market I’d be ordering one rather than a boxster without doubt, I just need 4 seats!
