Bimmerpost - UK section
Do any of you guys only look at the UK sections here?
I never look at the others and was wondering if others did this too. |

Mainly UK only. Used to dip into the [mainly US] politics&religion off-topic area, but the debate was overly-polarised, entrenched and largely predictable. Entertaining though.
Also used the X5 sub-forum a lot when looking into the G05 as they had a wealth more experience with it due to the earlier launch.

About a year ago I think a few of the uk old hands dabbled in the US political section and that went down the rabbit hole very quickly.

Mainly UK but look at the coding\US every now and then as they have a better BimmerCode resource.

UK section only. It's also noticeable that the main UK section for the F30 is now increasingly populated by a new generation who've bought used examples. I'm in that PCP twilight zone where I don't need to discuss the car itself much anymore, but I'm a year or so away from switching to a new one. I tend to stick in the off-topic area as a result. Plus it's livelier

Started in the USA section, then discovered the UK section and much prefer it.
The UK off topic is my absolute favourite. It's very interactive with hilarious comments flying back and forth amongst a group that know each other well online. Many good belly laughs. Better than television some nights. The Canadian section is boring, though once in a while I pick up some tips on local sources for car accessories or parts. |

95% UK, 5% US (and then it's mostly looking at pictures)

I do skim through two US forums, Suspension | Chassis | Brakes // N47 and N57 Turbodiesel Engines, as there are a few regulars who are similarly interested in 'proper' mods and do post in-depth reviews. FaRKle! is a good example.
That said, with the 30d not being a US option there's not much to read on that front. The UK sites are where it's at in terms of activity, overall knowledge and banter.

Mainly UK, but having had a number F30 cars since 2013 I don't have much interest left in them to be honest, so also in a bit of a no man's land in terms of BMW chat these days.
Even having just ordered a new G20 330e I'm finding it hard to get too excited and engaged on that forum as yet. Maybe it'll change when my car arrives.
