30d fan coming on ( loud)

Hi guys my dad's got a 530d and he's recently had it serviced and remapped, ( not sure if this is relevant ) since the map done his fan comes really loud when car gets up to temp and stay on really loud at low speed of even 5mph when u stop it slows down n goes off but when driving comes on full
Blast and sounds like a aeroplane

I've replaced the coolant temp sensor for him I've just order a new thermostat I plan to swap that over next

Any clues guys

Something sounds like it's running too hot. Possibly the remap is over-fuelling and the DPF is on an active regen all the time ? That creates a lot of heat.

Has fuel consumption changed much since the remap ?

Hmmm possibly however I've had the map removed now and it's still the same ??
