Got the car back! Fully Forged CP Carrillo Rotating Assembly, MHI Big Turbo and FBO!
Car is back on the road finally. Fully forged CP Carrillo rotating assembly, new head, MHI big turbo and full bolt on, all thanks to Miami Engines 🙏🏼
The car is still on the stock tune though since the engine builder said I can’t take it over 4,000 rpm for 500 miles. The car feels and runs strong but it definitely feels like a caged animal wanting to be unleashed lol. Will be going the custom tune route so if anyone has any tuner recommendations I would really appreciate it. Right now I’m in between Navardi and Cary Jordan, but I have a couple little things I wanna add to the car (B58TU and Snow meth kit) before I get it tuned so it’ll be stock boost for a little bit. Here is a little video I took a few days ago just cruising around, feathering the gas gives off a nice little flutter, I kinda like it https://youtube.com/shorts/RxyQipKhYxU?feature=share |

Can you tell us exactly what they did to the motor? Is it a 4 or 6 cylinder? What was your total cost?

What is the estimated power capabilities of the work? $9k plus the cost of a custom tune seems like a tremendous amount of coin to drop on a 4cylinder engine without knowing exactly what was done or what numbers you can expect to see from it.

+1. Love the work but that's really cost prohibitive and would make more sense on a more powerful motor, no?

The engine is capable of supporting around 500rwhp safely if I had a turbo and fuel system that could push it that far. Beyond that since it is an open deck block it would have to be converted to closed deck in order to avoid cylinder wobble at those power levels. But I’m good with it, just looking for a fun daily street car. For all out race I have my built procharged mustang lol. |

Yeah that would not have made much sense lol. Just really wanted the car back after the timing chain failure, didn’t want to sell it, and fell into the forged deal. But it should be a fun car!

Sounds like a really cool build! Would love to see some videos of the car running and doing pulls once you're throwing some boost at it
