Actually, here is it. http://bimmercodeapp.com/adapter/
Thanks.

If I'm honest I checked afterwards and ordered the VGate iCar 2 which was in their list of recommended dongles. I was hoping the wi-fi one I had would be compatible but unfortunately isn't

Adapter

Should the adapter be within the list that bimmercode recommends or can it be any adapter?

Purchased my iCar2 Vgate Wifi on Friday with one day delivery and it arrived on Saturday around noon (insert obligatory gratitude and appreciation to Amazon). I had downloaded Bimmercode weeks in advance after to talking with sspade at the meet.

I am so glad I did! I've had the car since March but have been so fixated on changing hardware that I had given almost no thought to software.

After spending an hour or two coding, I've arrived at this list:
- VIM
- Extended audio/video codecs
- Red Sport Gauges
- No Delay on Comfort closing
- No disclaimers/warnings
- Lowered the pitch of the beeping tone for lock/unlock (way better imho)
- BMW i warnings/tones/alerts/ringtone
- M Performance badge in gauge cluster
- M Animation in iDrive
- Shut off radio/nav when door opens
- Mirrors open/close upon comfort open/close
- Daytime running lights rear inner/outer

Not one hiccup during the coding session. Followed the instructions and when I was done I let the car rest for a few hours before I went to validate the coding had been accepted.

Overall, impressed with Bimmercode and iCar products and how well they integrate to provide unprecedented levels of customization to an already great platform.

Can you remember where in Bimmercode it is to change the iDrive animation to the MSport? I've found it for the extended gauge cluster.

Yep, in the head unit menu.

I have changed that on my 2017 335d but I can’t get it to show on startup - my I drive display just goes straight to the normal display without any startup animations being shown - is there another setup option somewhere to toggle these on / off?

I noticed that a couple of times, it seems to be tied to locking your car and if you have comfort access, making sure your key is out of sensor range of the car.

After changing this, the next few days I got no animation, but now works each time.

Do you have to let it "rest" for a few hours?

Strange.

I don’t have comfort access but for whatever reason, I don’t seem to get the start up animation at all.

You could try restoring from the backup it created and re-coding.

I've been trying to figure out how to code out the ASD in my '15 435i but I don't see it. If I enter demo mode, it's the first option but once connected to car it's Advanced Crash Safety Module. Does this mean my car doesn't have ASD?

Update for Bimmercode has been released yesterday. Does anyone know if it includes SAS module for I01? Thanx!

It’s all about how long you take from unlocking your car to pressing the start button - leave it too long and you won’t see the M animation as the I drive has already booted up.

So unlock and press start within 5 seconds is not fast enough then?

I‘ve really only seen that animation one time. Then when i rebooted iDrive, but never before or after.

I used eSys to code my 2014 F34 335(ComfortAccess, HUD, Pro Nav) when I got it, and recently the dealership wiped out all my codings and updated the software on the car (I can tell because many GUI elements have changed, and are similar to the 2019 X3 they gave me as a loaner).

I used Bimmercode to restore many of my codings, but I've found that you can't get to *everything* you can with eSys.

Can you tell me where you found this item?

- Lowered the pitch of the beeping tone for lock/unlock (way better imho)

And, I tried changing my warnings/tones/alerts to Rolls Royce, and it doesn't sound any different. Are the BMW i warnings/tones/alerts/ringtone significantly different? I turned on "smartphone ringtone" and it still has the default BMW 3-series ringtone, not the tone I have set on my LG V30.

Finally... have you tried to change the reset time on the trip meter? (I believe this refers to the one that you can add on the "split screen" that has the trip start/elapsed time, avg mpg, etc... not the simple mileage-only one that's on the speedo cluster.) The default is 4hr. I changed it to 1hr, and it got stuck. It won't reset, and still have 5:37pm from earlier this week. So, I changed it to every ride... still stuck... and back to 4hr. Still stuck, but now the time is --:--. I wish I could find where to reset this manually in iDrive. Coding it doesn't seem to help.

Is it possible that the software update the dealership installed could be working against me on this, since the GUI for it has actually changed?

Any information on these above points would be great! Thanks.

Hey all - just got Bimmercode last night. Using Veepeak BT adapter. Everything worked properly I just wanted to set the mirrors to open if and close if you hold lock. I did that. It worked. However when I go back in I get "The coding data could not be read". This in the Front Electronic Module. So I chose to do a restore - it did preparing coding, writing coding, successful/etc. but I still get the error.

Any suggestions? I'd hate to go to the dealer and have them tell me I shouldn't be mucking with this.

Android or IOS?

I use the android version, fwiw. Can you read/code other modules? I'd back out and disconnect, maybe even restart the phone, then try again.

I had a case where it was writing the code and then I put the car in drive (don't ask)... And it corrupted the head unit module. After that, I couldn't write to it. After I power cycled everything and reconnected, the app offered to restore over the corrupted module. Thankfully that restore worked, and I was able to re-code in Park.
