I wrote to Blistein asking about B8 with damptronics for F30 and got this as a response:

Quote:
Dear Sirs,

Thank you for the email and the interest in our products.

Actual we testing the BILSTEIN Damptronic shocks with the cars and most probably the electronic shocks are finished end of March 2017.

Mit freundlichen GruBen / Best regards,

Bilstein Info
I've emailed them to confirm they're referring to the B8 and not the previously announced damptronic products.

OK I just got a response from Bilstein and it was what I had thought:

Quote:
Dear Sirs,

we testing actual the BILSTEIN B6 Damptonic and BILSTEIN B16 Damptronic.

For the lowering springs (maximum -50mm) is the BILSTEIN B6 DC compatible,
that we don't producing BILSTEIN B8 DC shocks.

Mit freundlichen GruBen / Best Regards,

Bilstein Info
So if you have xDrive AND adaptive suspension (EDC), B6 may be your only option if you want to 3rd party shocks and want to keep EDC. And don't hold your breath because March is pretty far away

They're available for other cars like the Porsche 911 but not for the F30. But if you know of a place, let me know! I want a set so I can put it on at the same time as my springs

Perhaps they are not yet on sale, but in the online catalog yes.

Any further updates on release date and pricing? Tried to do Shockware and it's not playing nicely with my ECU at all, so I'm thinking it may be better off to wait and just replace the shocks with these. Should be a perfect match with the Dinan springs, bumpstops, and sway bars. I'm assuming these will be available in the US?

I did not get any details yet as it is still not produced but it is added in Binsteins catalogue now. And confirm to me on email.
The part number for my F36 X-Drive is 49-255980

To be clear, the B6s listed here would be good with moderate lowering springs like H&R sport?

I think B8s would be better suited for H&R springs. B6s are the same length as stock.

B8 damptronic PnP for f series not available - b6 damptronic on an EDC car will work fine with H&Rs

But, why H&R with B6 Damptronic!?

B6 Damptronic is a coilover kit. Electronic shock absorber with its spring and adjustable heigh...

You're thinking of the B16 coilovers, the B6's are just dampers.

Sorry, you're right. I'm a bit obsessed with when it will be possible to get the B16 damptronic...

Understandable, I keep checking compulsively for more details on the DampTronic line as well. I've had my Dinan springs installed for a few weeks now, and it's clear that it needs the shocks to make the upgrade complete. Hoping these do, in fact, land in the spring so I can get the B6's installed when the summers go back on. After that, the only other things left on my punch list will be the MPPSK and then MPSS's (or MPS4S's as the case may be) when the summer runflat treads get low enough to justify trashing them.

Very interested in an early review of B16 Damptronic coilovers. If you are an early adopter, please share your observations about ride height.

I have H&R supersport with adaptive suspension. The improvement is fine, but somewhat unbalanced. MPSS I already have, I only lack the B16 damptronic ...

Well, tired of waiting, I asked Bilstein directly for the date of release of B16 Damptronic for the F32. The answer: mid-March (I'm talking about Europe)
