N20 Turbo actuator noisy, not covered under CA Emissions warranty?
My F31 has a bit of a rattle on a fully cold start, goes away after idling for a bit.
I was approaching 70K miles so I took it to the dealer to see if it was a wastegate rattle that they'd be able to cover under the CA Emissions warranty, since the Turbo is a covered component. They diagnosed it as the "turbo actuator" (wastegate actuator?) being noisy, and said it was not covered. They said it would be $2400 to replace (lol). Does this sound right? Do I need to ask another dealer? |
