Cornwall and British Firework Championship Photos

Spent the past week at the in laws and as usual, went to see the British Firework Championships in Plymouth. Luckily caught the winner's show too this year (and rightly so, their display was awesome).

Some pics:

A fabulous set of images. I especially like your first 3 firework shots, when there is still plenty of colour in the sky.
All cracking shots, well done.

Great fireworks pictures. Whenever I take them, they all look the same!

In previous years the winner went on to do the NYE fireworks in London, not sure if that's happening again this year or not.

heh I know that feeling, this was my most successful year. ISO 100, F11 and remote shutter release seems to be a recipe for win.

Excellent pics.

It appears making brilliant curries is not your only talent.

Nice!

I saw this firework competition in Cannes, was incredible even if it went on a bit too long.

The camera is sited too far from the water and a bit high on this video, for it's best you needed a big reflection off the water too:

Impressive but it has music! Call me old fashioned but I don't get why people do displays to music all the time. The nice thing about the displays at Plymouth is they're music free, just big bangs and shiny bits

I agree, best without music - especially when they use a lousy sound system.

Beautiful pictures.

I wish I had the skill to take those.

Looking at those also makes you realise how picturesque our country is.

Fantastic pics!

Why do they have to put this kind of show on at the arse end of the country though, why not have it in a more central location? :
