Rear Brake Job NYC / Central NJ

Looking for a decent mechanic to do my rear brake job. Need new rotors + pads, sensors. Brake Fluid was flushed about 2 months ago.

Prefer to go with Zimmerman + BMW Pads and Sensors.

Thoughts on how much this would cost me ?

A good Indy will charge $100/hour or so in labor. So assume $200 for labor plus parts. You should be done in about $500 give or take. Add another $50-$100 if you want the brake flush.

I am located Central Jersey and could do the job for way below dealer/mechanic prices. Changing brakes and rotors are pretty simple job. I have over 12yrs experience in doing brake jobs on various cars and trucks. I work on my F30 myself also. PM me if your interested.

AZP Installs in Kenilworth - they're usually working on Subies but a brake job is a brake job - it's pretty standard. Plus a couple of their techs come from BMW backgrounds. +1 for ordering from FCP Euro.

...most dealers are running a value service promotion lately....I know, everyone hates dealers for service. Go to https://bmwusaservice.com type in your zip ...

I just had rear rotors, pads, sensor done for $475 in Westchester (all in) ...that is very competitive with indy price, considering that FCP Euro brake kit is about $360 (for non M-sport) .. https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...34216864900ktr

Don't forget here at AUTOcouture we are an excellent dealership alternative for scheduled maintenance, diagnostic and repairs, as well as performance upgrades for any non-warranty related work. Although we do work with extended warranties.

Westchester is great and all but FCP gives you lifetime parts so if you intended to keep the car that would be better option

Always make sure to check FCP prices vs other vendors. On parts that get a lot of warranty replacement returns, FCP often jacks the prices way up to cover their warranty costs.

People often assume that the make out the next time that they need to replace that part. But if the price is significantly higher and you have to pay for return shipping, then FCP may not be a deal for you until you replace that part for the third time!

In the case of rear brake pads for instance I've seen some FCP prices very high so I'd have to drive the car another 60k-80k miles before it would be worth it to me to buy those pads from FCP. Who knows if I'll still have the car by then.
