I'm glad I ordered early. Otherwise, once this review hit the general public, you will not able to take delivery till June.

These acceleration times are very good news to hear. I plan on ordering no sunroof and putting lots of cool stickers all over my car. The stickers alone should be good for an extra 0.5 secs off acceleration.

Why is it that pictures in MotorTrend always look blurred? They must be using a Polaroid camera and scanning the pictures back to computer.

You guys are right. It's my insecurity. It's not about a 328 engine vs a 335 engine anymore, no it's getting personal.

'Snotty comments' and 'insecurity'.

I should have known better, a US based site which I really like for about 7 years now(and still do, Jason /South know that) getting comment from some US based forummembers who know it all because US based Motortrend says so and end of discussion.

Typical.

It's only internet so they say. Enjoy your 4 potters

Cheers
A very insecure Robin

Nothing personal about it imho but why else would you guys constantly feel the need to justify your decision for the 335i. What else could you possibly accomplish by doing so, make the 328i buyers feel insecure about their choice? How's that justified?

If you're happy about your decision of the 335i, that's fine with me but why the need to try and make the 328i look less good than it really is? Both are awesome cars.

Oh I'm sure I will, don't worry about that. Originally I had a snotty comment here, something about Dutch traffic, but nvm. I'm happy with my 328i, you with your 335i, what's the problem really? In the end they're both Bimmers.

Let me explain it for you.I'm like this: If there wasn't a 335i 6 cylinder at all at the moment but only the N20 328i, I wouldn't have bought that one and would have kept my current 535i. Even if it had 350BHP stock.

About your part of the quote. Let's put it around and 'make the 335i look less good than it really is?'

That's what was happening here more or less. If you don't see that you're just as biased as you accuse me of being(is that good English?)biased. But in a funny way until now.

Think about it.

It's not the end of the world no worries. This isn't my first day here.

Cheers
Robin

Actually, around the track, the 328 will handle better; only because it is much lighter in the front.
Watch the video with Bill Auberlen driving a 335; clearly you can see that the car had some weight issue coming out of a corner. While the 328 was more of a "point and shoot" handling.

this is all interesting talk ... especially since rumors floated around a few months ago about the upcoming MY13 Msport model having a power bump. BMW squashed the rumor in Detroit but i have to admit that would be expected even if they were to introduce a power bump come June. June is the start of production for the new coupe and the sedan Msport and thats just around the corner ... coincidence? not sure but definitely raises the antennas that they may be hiding something

I understand that and that's perfectly fine. But in the end that is a personal choice, and that's a bit that bothers me because, while it is a personal choice, the 328i's constantly gets bashed for being a lesser car.

I know that this is happening both ways, and basically that's not right either. But that's also why I said, in the end we both drive a Bimmer and that's all that should really matter. One cares more for the sound, the other more for handling. One may have more funds available than the other. All basically making the choice of the car a personal one, still in the end they're both BMW's and both awesome cars

No one has said or tried to make the 335i look bad. Just because the 328i is getting positive reviews and people agree with it/support it, it doesn't mean anyone is saying or trying to make the 335i look bad.

On the other hand, you take every opportunity to take a shot at the 328i and make it look bad, make fun of it, etc., as if the people who like it/prefer it are beneath you or are any less of BMW enthusiasts.

Why can't people be happy about the 328s without someone like you with a 335i coming soon taking cheap shots and insulting the model?

335i will be the less practical car to buy. With a simple tune the 328i will easily beat the 335i. With at least 350Hp if not more.

You'd be a fool to think BMW hasn't already thought this out.

It's just a matter of time before the 340i (or whatever it will be called)

I don't think anyone here want to make the 335i look less good. We were all just surprised and learned 328i is bit better than 335i.

After reading 4 pages of post on this thread, I think you should just let it go. Enjoy the car.
