If going for HUD. Pay the extra £220 and get speed limit display.

I know electric seats are standard on the 430d, as is a few extra bits too.
Def speed limit with HUD, brilliant piece of kit. My 30 mile commute with ACC and a mix of motorway and A roads returns me 55mpg with cruise set at speed limits. I could possibly get it higher if I took it of cruise, but happy enough with that. I think the difference between mpg is only about 4-5 on a run. My route is very hilly so could be more decent with a flatter route? You know you want to. |

Without question it is. it also makes the HUD a bit more complete.

55mpg on 430d Honest john states 42.3 average! Is yours auto or manual? Didn't know the difference was only 4 to 5 which is not too bad so definitely would consider 430d but will go for a test drive first. How is the drive like? |

Make sure it's a S Drive though. Don't try comparing Xdrive and Sdrive and different engines. First off you get much more available power, then there is the sports auto box, then for a Diesel it actually sounds okay. Try it in comfort and then Sports. |

Correct - my 330d is in for bodywork and I have a 320d courtesy car - although not slow, the difference in soundtrack, smoothness, power delivery etc etc is immeasurable

I would certainly test drive a 430D and see if you think the bigger engine is worth it....would also help in resale value I think. if it is, also vote to drop sunroof (you have aircon) and Lane Change
If you go HUD, then speed limit seems an obvious? (I've got it - works well) Absolute musts for me are mirrors, rear camera and heated seats/wheel - maybe extended storage? And that auto box is SO nice! |
