I might be making this purchase soon. Not spending thousands on an exhaust and I got two kids and the wife so when I have them I keep it closed. When I'm alone open lol

To the guys that have installed it... what is the farthest you can stick out the tips if you order the Valvetronic clamped ones? Meaning how far past the bumper?

I have a 335i GT and people with MPEs need to add small extensions to the outlets, due to the GT's body being longer. If this exhaust can help me skip that step by adjusting the tips' clamping point... that would be a winner! I wouldn't mind if they sat just flush.

Same here! How does it sound with MPE? I took off MPE first and ran Valvetronic's axel back with kittyless pipe until I then deleted the resonator. I've heard that setup is one the best; just no option to be super quiet when you want!

Got around to uploading the videos to Youtube. (And I finally got my bumper fixed )

First video is stock exhaust with Fabspeed catted DP:


First revs are in comfort mode, second set of revs are in sport.


Second video is Valvetronic Designs exhaust with Fabspeed catted DP:


Again, first set of revs are in comfort, second set in in sport. I don't think the valve was closed in comfort, I should have manually closed it.


The video doesn't quite convey the volume increase with the Valvetronic exhaust, definitely louder in the cabin than the stock exhaust. Pretty happy with how it sounds now. I do notice there is a little drone at the lower rpms when cruising, slightly below 2k. Not sure if it's the exhaust, or I may try a different exhaust clamp like a member suggested in a previous post in this thread. And hopefully my exhaust tips come in soon!

im removing mine.. after talking to an m3 guy who had as many or more issies with the product and customer service... not sure what im gonna do yet tbh

basically they didnt give a fuck about my fitment issues and my only option is to pay to have it modified myself. like the ither guys said, they only seem to care about getting new more expensive product out and ramping oup their social media presence.. so.. again, sorry Macintosh but fuck them.

ill be doing a full review video in the next week or two.

You'll notice in auto mode for the valves itll be open from a dead stop but close as soon as you start rolling away and getting on the gas. Most of the time I manual control it anyway. Sounds good tho man! Any midpipe plans?

at this point, nothing. they should have taken care of it when i first talked to them and it was ignored. its all really very disappointing since everything was so positive about them from Macintosh and others i spoke to before buying it.

even if i had my money back im still out all the trouble and bs.
